This was a very pleasant experience, The host Srividya was very good, the 2 hours flew by.Highly recommend.
I applied for this class because I wanted to experience how to use spices in Indian food and I especially liked South Indian food. The teacher explained carefully and patiently, even though I was not familiar with English words of spices and cooking methods. I was a little worried, as I was on my first trip to India, and even solo, but it was such a lovely time that now I don’t think I had to worry about anything! When I get back to Japan, I'll make the sambal and dosa I was taught!
Vegetarian South Indian cooking class in a very friendly atmosphere. The hostess explained and prepared everything with great attention and detail. I immediately felt “at home” with her and the food was of course also very delicious.

I had an incredible experience with Sirvidya’s private vegetarian cooking class in Chennai! The one-on-one guidance was exceptional, and I learned to make delicious South Indian dishes using fresh ingredients and traditional techniques. What made the experience even more special was Sirvidya’s help in finding unique ingredients at the end of the class, so I could take them home and recreate the dishes. A must-do for anyone looking to dive into authentic South Indian cuisine. Highly recommended!
I learned two vegetarian dishes at her house. He taught me recipes that I can make even when I return to Japan. Ms. Julividia was very friendly and kind, and explained things carefully in a way that even those of us who are not good at English could understand. I am happy that I was able to spend this precious time with you. Highly recommended!
We had a lovely evening with Srividya! She taught us delicious recipes with curry leaves that we can now make at home in Switzerland! She also taught us about Indian cuisine and culture, and we had a delicious meal at the end!

I had a fantastic experience, and learnt so much about Southern Indian cooking with Srividya, who explained all about the various ingredients, spices and cooking process. I thoroughly enjoyed eating what was prepared, and chatting about the food. Srividya and her family were very friendly and made me feel very welcomed, and would definitely recommend this fun and interesting activity.
Amazing experience to learn Indian vegan home cooking and dine at a home setting. The host, Sricidya lives in a pleasant quiet neighbourhood, and she was very nice and patient in attending to my queries ( though may have sounded silly to her) and explaining each step of the recipes and possible alternatives etc etc. She was attentive to my vegan dietary need, and used all ingredients vegan, e.g. replacing ghee with coconut oil and even getting nut-gurt to replace yogurt. I am sincerely grateful for that, and to learni what I can do for my own indian cooking. And importantly, Sriviya demonstrated dishes that I don't see in the restuarant, I think that's very heart warming! Very glad I made this trip and highly recommend to all who loves Indian home cooked dishes!!
Srividya was an excellent host and teacher. We loved the in home, personal experience of meeting a local, getting to see their home, sharing a meal together and learning about their culture. Not really a hands on cooking class, but enjoyable nonetheless. We had some trouble finding the location, but got there eventually. It would have been helpful to have been given the address earlier than that morning. We had already left the hotel and had no internet access, so did not see the email with the full address until afterwards.
