Apprenez à surfer avec l’école de surf n°1 de Tamarindo depuis 1989. Tous les niveaux de compétence sont les bienvenus. Nous sommes situés juste en face d'une pause plage et nous sommes le magasin de surf original de Tamarindo! Nous avons une grande expérience, ayant enseigné plus de 100 000 leçons de surf au cours des 30 années que nous avons été opérationnels. Tous les membres de notre personnel sont des professionnels sympathiques, bilingues et très expérimentés. Plus de la moitié de notre personnel est avec nous depuis plus de 10 ans! Nous répondons spécifiquement aux besoins de chaque client et notre objectif est que chaque client parte satisfait à 100% et nous mettons un grand accent sur la sécurité. Nous sommes une compagnie entièrement assurée avec des moniteurs correctement formés en sécurité nautique et surf, RCR et premiers soins.

My girlfriend and I took a lesson with Iguana Surf in Tamarindo, Costa Rica. Overall, the staff was very nice and made sure my girlfriend had fun. She is more beginner level, and I’m more intermediate, so we were at different surf abilities. Because of that, I ended up being left on my own to surf the larger waves while she worked with the instructor. I understand why the instructor focused more on her, but I think they should have offered a better option, like charging me for a board rental and making the actual lesson more focused on her. That would have made more sense for our different ability levels. The instructor did help her stand up and made sure she enjoyed herself, which we appreciated. The downside was that there were a couple bigger waves where she didn’t get great coaching on how to handle them or get under them safely, and she ended up hurting her neck a bit. The boards were also fairly beat up, which wasn’t ideal. Overall, everyone was friendly and she did have a good time, but I think Iguana Surf in Tamarindo, Costa Rica could do a better job organizing lessons for two people at different skill levels. I also think there could have been better safety coaching when the waves got bigger and better equipment available.

What a great surfing lesson! I went with my 5 year old son and they got him on the board and surfing at the end of the lesson. I was nervous for him to be on the water at first, but his instructor was always within reach and ready to help if needed. Highly recommended!

Dishonest practices seem accepted here, be careful. Was approached by a man with a nice camera INSIDE the shop as we prepared for family surf lessons, was recommended to check out his images after by those we were starting surf lesson with. He chased us down after asking us to look at the images, so we did. We did not want them but he seemed a bit desperate after coming from $40 to $30 I told him I had $27 dollars on me and gave him my email to send images, he said his name was Miguel and he had long hair & seemed local. Well, he never sent pictures, which stings as it would cost him nothing, he robbed us & when I went to tell the shop the next morning, they didn't care. Best to steer clear of THIEVES! Really hope they send me images, refund our money or apologize at minimum. Instructor was also abrasive and ended lesson ten minutes early. You can do better elsewhere.
