Cours de surf en groupe @Praia da Rocha

I took the group beginner surf course on the west coast. Ramirez and Serbest explained everything exactly on land and after the dry exercises we had our first experience in the water. The first two days we were only small groups (once in five, once in three - that was great!) with Ramirez and on the third day we were a larger group (so think 13 participants). Then Serbest was the second surf instructor. They are both quite great & competent surf instructors with a lot of patience and if it didn’t work out once Ramirez motivated and helped us quite great. Also Maria a big thank you for the super-great organization. I definitely want to come back to learn how to surf better. It's great fun, but it's also very exhausting. The surf school and surf instructors are just top!!!!

Great instruction from Balthazar! Really experienced and helpful! Had the waves all to ourselves. I've surfed before but was rusty. Balthazar was patient.

Great having Balthazar as my instructor. Really fun experience! Highly recommended. Water was great. Could do without the seaweed.

My 7 yo son's first lesson was great. His surf instructor was very child-oriented and always kept an eye on my son while in the water. He interacted with my son a lot which gave him confidence. I don't remember the instructor's name but he's from Brasil, he was very good.

It was amazing. I learnt how to surf by myself in 1 day! Now I can rent a board any time and ride and break monstrous waves!

Herminez - sorry if I didn’t spell your name right but thank you for a fantastic surfing experience for me and my daughters! We had a blast and you made it fun. I hope you even got to eat that fish later that night that you caught with your hand while teaching us. We can’t wait to surf again. Thank you!

It was an amazing surfing experience with João! We had four lessons and it was a lot of fun. He was always very supportive and motivating and had good learning techniques! Everybody from the Portimão Surf Clube was very kind and it was always straightforward to find appointments for the next lessons. I would love to do some more lessons next year!

Great experience today! Everything worked out great and we had a lot of fun! Instructors are very competent and friendly. We stayed even longer than planned at the beach.

We booked a lesson for 3 people (2 children of 10 and 11). Francesco was very kind with us and explained us very well. He took good care of the children but also me when I Asked him some questions and needed advices !! Great experience

My partner and I booked in for the group session and we ended up having a 2:1 lesson as luckily nobody else had booked in. Our instructor was amazing and really encouraging for our first time surfing. Loved it!
