Ce n'est pas votre cours de cuisine italienne typique. C'est l'occasion de vous plonger dans un cours de cuisine privé avec un homme charmant, passionné de cuisine italienne régionale, et de partager un repas authentique avec un couple marié depuis 30 ans et toujours aussi fou d'amour! Fabio vit sur une colline à la campagne entourée d'oliviers. Fabio et Christiane (quand elle est à la maison) vous accueillent dans leur maison colorée avec une boisson rafraîchissante. Fabio expliquera comment ils cueillent des olives et comment l'huile d'olive est produite. Ensuite, rejoignez Fabio dans sa cuisine pour un cours de cuisine pratique d’une heure et demie. Apprenez à faire des pâtes fraîches, une sauce, un plat principal et un dessert. Selon la saison, vous pouvez aider Fabio à préparer des tagliatelles au ragoût ou un risotto au calmar au fenouil sauvage et à la peau d’orange, ainsi qu’à la morue au poireau et au chou pourpre ou à la côtelette de porc aux amandes. En dessert, dégustez du castagnaccio, un gâteau à la farine de châtaignes, un plat régional préféré ou une panna cotta au coulis de fraises en été sur un pot de café fraîchement moulu.

- La maison de Fabio est à environ 10 km du centre-ville. Lui ou une personne désignée par lui viendra vous chercher à un lieu de rendez-vous central (Via dei Renai 37, Firenze) et vous déposera au même endroit à la fin de votre expérience. Le coût du transport aller-retour depuis le lieu central de la réunion est inclus dans le prix. We traveled to Florence with our close friends and booked a cooking class with Fabio and his wife, Christiane. They were immediately warm and welcoming. Learning to make a traditional Italian meal was full of fun and laughter. We truly appreciate their hospitality and would recommend their countryside class for any small group.
What an amazing experience. Set high on a hill outside Florence, Fabio’s home and kitchen look as though they were made for a movie. Picturesque house and surrounding yard and garden are the perfect setting for this experience. Fabio checked with us the week before to make sure we were learning things we wanted to and let us help set the menu. We selected lasagna with meat sauce and risotto and Fabio added his special apple cake. This class is hands on, making pasta and sauces from scratch. You can help prepare and cook as much as you want. I made the pasta for the lasagna and we made fresh vegetable stock to use in the risotto. What a learning experience. We are accomplished cooks, but still learned many new things. Fabio and his wife Cristiana are such gracious hosts. He opened excellent bottles of wine to enjoy with our dinner out under the pergola while witnessing a spectacular sunset. Food, conversation, wine were all delightful. I highly recommend this experience!
