Cette expérience ne se déroule pas dans une cuisine touristique, mais dans ma maison privée à Palerme. Ce n'est pas un spectacle : c'est de la vraie cuisine, avec des recettes siciliennes authentiques, des ingrédients locaux et l'atmosphère d'une famille royale. Pendant trente ans, j'ai travaillé dans la haute cuisine dans différentes parties du monde, y compris dans les restaurants étoilés les plus prestigieux. J'ai été chef cuisinier pour des émissions de télévision nationales (Rai 1) et auteur de deux livres de cuisine. J'ai choisi de revenir à mes racines et d'ouvrir les portes de ma maison à ceux qui veulent vivre la Sicile, et pas seulement la goûter. Chaque plat raconte une histoire, chaque geste a une valeur : ici, on cuisine, on mange, on parle, on rit. C'est une expérience qui nourrit aussi la mémoire. Vous n'y trouverez ni scénario ni faux-semblants, mais de la spontanéité et de la chaleur, comme chez un ami sicilien. Je vais vous apprendre ce que vous ne trouverez pas dans les livres : les odeurs, les rythmes lents, les mots du dialecte, les mains salies de pâte. Pendant quelques heures, vous vous immergerez véritablement dans la culture sicilienne.

Extraordinary and authentic Sicilian evening in the comforable Palermo home of a highly experienced Local chef. We were involved in the entire process from cutting vegetables, to making pasta from scratch and even making cannoli shells to fill with the sumptuous ricotta. The best part is eating your creation with a variety of local wines and then amaro or limoncello for dessert. Andreas and his wife were incredibly inviting hosts. A must do for foodies who like to see and smell the aromatic ingredients and learn some helpful cooking techniques.

We had the best time cooking a Sicilian meal with Andrea and his family! He was so energetic and excited to share his knowledge about food and Sicily. On top of this, the food was absolutely amazing and their kindness was unmatched. This was the BEST activity we did during our stay in Palermo!!

This was a very unique cooking class. We arrived at his home in Palermo and were greeted by him and his family. There were only 4 of us total taking the class, so it was very easy to receive feedback and additional instructions when needed. He was extremely knowledgeable and explained why we were doing certain things, not just how. We made an appetizer, primi, secondi, and a dessert, then all had dinner together with his family. Great Palermo experience!

This was simply an amazing experience! Straight from the start you are welcomed in the home of Andrea and Alessandra (and son Marco), and within minutes they make you feel so welcome, like you feel you are with friends. The workshop itself is good. You prepare a 4 course meal under guidance of Andrea. All in a very relaxed, but educating, way. Seeing Andrea work is amazing, you can see the skilled chef he is. After all the preparations are done. Andrea does his finishing touch and serves the food. For us, this was the most fun experience in our Sicily holiday.

Me and my wife booked a cooking class with Andrea and had an amazing evening. Andrea has an amazing cooking and food knowledge and eagerly shares this with us students. The class is excellent value for money considering all the help and assistance Andrea provides along with a delicious meal at the end of it. We also met his wife and son who are both lovely and welcoming. I would recommend this to anyone that visits Palermo. The time flys in as you have fun in the kitchen together. I will definitely be trying the recipes I learned at home.
