Le Strand historique, un monument national, était le Wall Street du Sud avant la Grande Inondation. Tant de personnes ont tenté de se réfugier dans les étages supérieurs de ces magnifiques bâtiments bancaires, mais ont malheureusement péri. Plus de 10 000 personnes sont mortes lors de cette nuit fatidique. C'est la plus grande catastrophe nationale à ce jour.
Alors que nous nous tenons devant le chemin de fer historique où plus de 50 000 hommes viendraient en train pour visiter les bordels, nous examinerons les hantises qui continuent à ce jour dans le bâtiment.
Tant de dignitaires, de soldats, de politiciens et même de présidents se sont enregistrés… mais certains ne sont jamais partis. Des sanglots pleurants se font entendre dans les cages d'escalier et dans les couloirs. Un soldat de la guerre civile se promène dans le hall pour que tout le monde puisse le voir. Un petit garçon joue dans l'hôtel dont on dit qu'il est le fantôme d'un enfant écrasé devant l'hôtel. Un fantôme utile déballera même pour vous !

Tour was very lackluster for a Saturday night tour. Tour guide showed up like he just got in from the beach and talked about himself the whole time. Didn’t really know much about the red light district because he had not done the tour in a while. Save your money and do something else.

It is a really fun and interesting tour, you will see and learn different things from the history of the town. It is a one of a kind tour that you'll experience and you won't regret it. A great tour given by a very knowledgeable tour guide. A lot of the "dark" history of early Galveston is there to be learned on this tour.

I lived in Houston my whole life and didn’t know anything about Galveston. We came to Galveston for the weekend to celebrate my wife’s birthday and she’s a history buff and she truly loved it!
