Visiting from out of town and I had never paid any attention to the haunted boat tour. During my visit for a dolphin tour I followed the QR code and booked a haunted tour. A ton of history was told. The fee was fair for the time spent out exploring. Most definitely would recommend! Thank you to Trent for getting us around safely. Thank you to Lucio for being our ghost guide.
I booked the Haunted Harbor Tours – Galveston Ghost Boat for 8:45pm. We were in the area ahead of time and received a text at 8:30pm to move to the kiosk to check in before 8:45. We got there before 8:40. We waited at the check in point, but no one was there. We looked down at the harbor, and there was a boat, but it had something along the lines of party boat on the side. Also, there was no one outside of the boat to talk to - not that we would've since the check in instructions said to meet at the kiosk. We continued to wait until 8:45pm, when a young guy promptly walked up to the kiosk. We told him we were checking in for the tour. He said something along the lines of "hopefully not that one" and pointed at the party boat sailing off. He confirmed that was in fact the boat we needed to be on. We said we had waited here and no one came up to check us in. He asked if we wanted to reschedule, but we declined because we were only in town for that evening. Another young guy came up and talked to us and told us we would have to request a refund through Viator. I do so, and was told by Viator that the merchant declined the refund. I did a charge back and was told that "The merchant did not violate the terms of their return or cancellation policy with the transaction in question." I do not know how you can leave the kiosk unmanned during the check in period and not be held liable for paying customers not being checked in. Anyways, I do not recommend this tour in case the employees are dicking around during the check in window, and you have to pay for it regardless. I'm sure the actual tour was lovely and a lot of fun, but simply not worth $100 to risk not being able to go on the tour.
Came from another state, and experienced this tour with my partner. Thought it would be different and was very expensive for the experience. They were playing upbeat dance music like it’s a mini party cruise, more than a ghost tour. Guide was very nice but didn’t talk as much and was a little off. But it was a nice boat ride and they were entertaining but I think they should change the name of the tour.
My family enjoyed the format, and it was a fun ride around the harbor.
This is an awesome tour!! Very informative and spooky! The fee is reasonable as well! The tour takes about an hour and it’s the perfect length!
Nice boat ride around the harbor, learning a little history along with the ghost stories. It was a fun vacation activity for anyone looking for something to do in the evening, I recommend!
This was a fun, unique experience! It was a creative blend of humor and light-hearted spookiness, punctuated by funny “dad jokes” from the guide. The tour included the historic Battleship Texas and the eerie old concrete hulk of the Selma. I enjoyed it so much that I decided to go twice!
We enjoyed the guide and the driver. The app added to the experience. It was the right length. Overall, great!
The breeze was nice but, the spirit/ghost stories weren’t spooky. Everything seemed fake mainly because of the app that they asked us to download. It wasn’t worth $50. Especially since earlier that day , I was on the exact same boat taking the same route with similar stories for the Dolphin Sighting. The staff was nice but I won’t do it again. This is just my opinion. I’m not trying to bash the company.
We had a blast! Definitely a spooky experience mixed with interesting historical facts and stories about Galveston! We loved Lucio and captain Ken, they made the experience 10 times better!
