Our tour guide Geronimo was extremely competent. We were able to do the tour in French. The tour let us discover all the stages of chocolate making, coffee production, and sugarcane. Geronimo knew how to answer all our questions. We learned a lot and we really enjoyed the different tastings.
Great tour of the farm. The kids got to have hands-on experience mixing cocao beans and squeezing sugar cane juice. Highlight was getting to taste the fruit of your labors. Very enjoyable.
A great experience. The kids loved all the samples and our guide was excellent! Very easy to do as an “add on” to a hike day.
Having done coffee tours before, I appreciate the added value in combining this tour with a chocolate and a sugar cane segment. I learned and ate a lot. They are quite generous with samples. Our guide, Mario, was funny and seemed genuinely to like his job, unlike so many tour operators in Costa Rica. The shop, of course, is the main destination, but it was surprisingly of good value. Very efficient operation, if that’s what you like. Saw lots of interesting birds.
The guide was lovely and so informative. The quality of the products was incredible and better than anything I have ever tasted at home!! Thank you so much!
This was a fun and fascinating tour which felt interactive and included lots of great sampling. Jose was so charismatic and offered so much insight into how coffee, chocolate and sugar cane is produced in Costa Rica as well as around the world.
We loved this tour and our tour guide Rolo was both super knowledgeable and also funny! We learned so much about the making of chocolate, coffee, and sugar cane and even got to participate in making some lemonade with fresh sugar cane. Outstanding tour and well worth it!
