I had a wonderful “4 Days Tunisia Tour from North to South” with Tunisia Monumental tour company. I so thoroughly enjoyed the company and service of my guide, Hakim, and our driver that I requested them when I decided to book a Tunis day tour with the same company. I booked that day tour because I’d been pleased with the service of the company, especially the clear and swift communication when planning the trip. I loved being with Hakim, a kind, gentle and well-educated man over the 4 days. Tunisia couldn’t ask for a better ambassador for the country. Hotels during the trip were good. My favorite was the first hotel, a cave hotel, Les bèberes in Matmata. The other accommodations were very good also. Insolite Dunes Camp in the Sahara had good entertainment (including a horse riding and acrobatic performance), food and an interesting demonstration on how they’ve cooked bread in the desert for years. Ksar Rouge in Tozeur was a big, nice hotel with good food options onsite. During the tour I enjoyed the active first day. Kairouan, the 4th holiest city in Islam, was great to visit. The Roman Coliseum at El Jem is a site to behold, and finishing at hotel Sidi Idriss to geek out about “Star Wars” was a treat. I very much enjoyed visiting other Star Wars sites during the trip (Ksar Hadada and Mos Espa) and other Roman ruins at Sbeitla. As requested, we departed earlier on the last day so I could be dropped off at my beach resort in Sousse with daylight remaining. It was a good tour. There was a mix up on the company’s end about including Mos Espa, even though I clearly communicated this as a necessity before booking the tour. I appreciated being able to speak to the company during the tour and get this issue worked out so that I wasn’t paying additional funds unnecessarily. Communication was very good overall with the company, but in booking be very clear about what is included in the tour and have this in writing (even though I did have it in writing and could clearly see it). I would not hesitate to use this company again.
Hi Anthony, Thank you for sharing your experience with the “4 Days Tunisia Tour from North to South.” It sounds like you had a truly remarkable time, especially with Hakim as your guide. His dedication and knowledge definitely seem to have enhanced your trip, making it memorable. The accommodations, especially the cave hotel, Les Bèberes in Matmata, sound fascinating. It’s great to hear that the Insolite Dunes Camp offered engaging entertainment and an authentic experience of desert life. Visiting significant sites like Kairouan and the Roman Coliseum at El Jem must have been awe-inspiring, and exploring the Star Wars filming locations is a fun touch! I appreciate your note about the communication regarding Mos Espa; it’s essential that companies get those details right, and it’s good to know they were responsive during your trip. Your advice on clarity during booking is valuable—it's always best to have everything in writing. Overall, it seems like a well-paced tour with a blend of history, culture, and adventure. If you ever plan to explore more, I’d love to hear about your next journey! Best Regards
