Description
Tout d'abord, la visite du chocolat commence par le contexte culturel et biologique du cacao au Costa Rica. Il introduit encore dans la collecte, la fermentation, le broyage et enfin la fabrication du chocolat, la boisson des dieux. Deuxièmement, nous parlons du café et de son importance pour le développement économique et culturel du Costa Rica. Nous avons une salle d'exposition avec d'importants instruments de cueillette de café et une meilleure explication du processus de production du café. Nous voulons vous montrer comment faire Café-Chorreado, la véritable pratique costaricienne de la préparation du café. Entre autres méthodes d'échantillonnage. Enfin, nous voulons examiner l'un des aspects les plus importants de la culture et de la tradition costariciennes, la trapiche : un moulin à canne à sucre. Ici, nous broyons la canne à sucre pour en extraire le jus et fabriquer toutes sortes de bonbons locaux et délicieux. C'est certainement la visite la plus douce de la région. Nous avons récemment ajouté un JARDIN DE PLANTES MÉDICINALES À NOTRE.

Juan was a fantastic tour guide! We learned so much about chocolate, not just how it's made but differences in quality and what yo look for in the ingredients. He made us three different drinks and we made fruit bowls with chocolate syrup :)

You can not give less than five, Sergio was perfect, very clear in explanations, funny, and very helpful. I had heard about so many tasting experiences but I'm glad I chose this one because I think Sergio makes the difference between chocolate, coffee and sugar and liqueur tasting. Our guide Juan was amazing- full of information, history, and obvious knowledge of the entire process. He made the tour enjoyable and fun, and we definitely left with more appreciation for Costa Rican chocolate and coffee. We were picked up right at the condos we’re staying at and the bus driver & guide on the bus were also very nice and helpful. Great experience!

Sergio was a great guide, very personable and responsive to our tour group, which included 8 people who were all native English-speakers. He presented interesting historical and logistical information in a winsome way. We enjoyed preparing and tasting chocolate with fresh fruit, coffee, and sugar cane. Sergio also conveniently provided comfortable transportation to and from Quepos. Gracias!

Juan is a fantastic guide. We really enjoyed learning about the history of the production of chocolate in CR. Juan really made the tour interesting as he was very friendly, knowledgeable and clearly has a passion for sharing stories and educating his guests. He took his time to explain not only the history of how chocolate was made hundreds of years ago, but also how it's made in present day and the importance of organic farming and the health benefits of chocolate. We were not rushed, and encouraged to ask questions and take our time to enjoy the delicious samples. Juan, thank you for making this tour a highlight of our first trip to Costa Rica.
