Nous commençons la visite de Chiang Mai, voyageant par la route pendant environ 90 minutes.
Commencez par Mae Kachan Hot Springs, un endroit idéal pour se détendre dans des eaux minérales chaudes avant de plonger plus profondément dans Chiang Rai. C'est un excellent arrêt pour se rafraîchir avant les principales attractions de la journée.
Nous remonterons dans le bus pour un court trajet d'environ 15 minutes
Votre prochaine étape est un village de la tribu des collines, qui abrite la fascinante tribu Mae Kachan à long cou. Ici, vous serez témoin de la tradition unique des femmes portant des bagues en laiton pour allonger leur cou, une pratique culturelle transmise de génération en génération. L'artisanat artisanal vibrant, les tenues colorées et la communauté accueillante offrent un aperçu de leur riche patrimoine. Visiter ce village n’est pas seulement un voyage visuel mais aussi une expérience culturelle enrichissante, qui permet de découvrir les traditions et la résilience de cette tribu remarquable.
Nous reprenons la route pour arriver à la prochaine destination.
Votre prochaine étape est le Temple Blanc, une création extraordinaire de l'artiste Chalermchai Kositpipat. Son design saisissant entièrement blanc symbolise la pureté, tandis que la verrerie complexe reflète la sagesse de Bouddha. À l'intérieur, des peintures murales surréalistes mélangent des symboles bouddhistes avec des images modernes, ce qui en fait une fusion unique de spiritualité et d'art contemporain. Ce n’est pas seulement une merveille visuelle mais aussi une expérience profonde.
Nous nous arrêterons une heure pour le déjeuner facultatif.
Un autre court trajet en bus nous mènera à la prochaine destination.
Ensuite, le superbe temple bleu attend, connu pour ses intérieurs bleu vif et ses accents dorés. Son atmosphère mystique est rehaussée par des dessins complexes et des statues de Bouddha sereines. Le style moderne et traditionnel du temple crée une expérience captivante et colorée, avec des sculptures de dragons gardant l'entrée et un Bouddha paisible à l'intérieur.
Encore un court trajet en bus jusqu'à l'arrêt suivant.
Notre voyage se poursuit jusqu'au temple Hauyplakang, un havre de paix spirituel connu pour son impressionnante pagode à neuf étages. En montant à chaque niveau, vous rencontrerez des statues bouddhistes et de belles sculptures. Le temple est également célèbre pour la statue de Guan Yin, la Déesse de la Miséricorde, qui symbolise la compassion. Les vues panoramiques depuis la pagode sont à couper le souffle, ce qui en fait un moment fort du voyage.
Il est temps de monter dans le bus pour retourner à Chiang Mai

Dee, our tour guide, was beyond amazing!! She went out of her way to inform and encourage everyone, maximising the time we spent at the temples. Anyone that is lucky enough to have her on board the trip will have a great time! The temples were absolutely stunning, could not fault a single part of the trip (aside from maybe the lengthy journey - can’t be controlled) ☺️

This is a day long trip that includes many varied stops. Hot springs plus long necked ladies and 3 temples. The bus was very comfortable. Our guide Dee was excellent. She was very attentive and provided a lot of historical background.

A great tour! We were nervous it would feel rushed, but it was well paced and we didn’t feel like we needed extra time at any of the spots. Our guide Nat was incredibly informative and shared with us so much about Chiang Rai and Thailand as a whole. She taught us common phrases, how to count, and even what our names are in Thai! Nat definitely went above and beyond. She is the best tour guide I’ve experienced thus far. The tour is a large group (40 people) but it didn’t feel crowded once we were at the spots. Super organized and a great day trip!
