Such a great experience! We made two different pasta dishes and tiramisu for dessert, and we enjoyed homemade foccocia with cheeses and wine inbetween cooking. Everything tasted so delicious and fresh. Our hosts were so lovely, very welcoming and knowledgeable. The location was a little bit difficult to find, but since it’s such a small group even though we started a little later it was all fine. The location was absolutely gorgeous and it was nice to get out of crowded Varenna for the evening. Transportation tip: it was our first time to lake como, so we did not anticipate transportation being a little more inconvenient. Our class was in Bellano, which required us to ferry and then take a bus. We assumed we could just call a taxi after our class, but apparently during peak seasons all taxis in certain areas need to be pre booked. Our hosts helped us book the taxi back and we were so grateful!
The most welcoming, friendly and charming hosts, sharing their home to provide a wonderful experience. From the moment you meet Patrizia and Luca you are made to feel welcome and relaxed. Patrizia guides you through the art of pasta (Tiramasu) making, slowly and calmly to enable you to sit and enjoy the fruits of your work whilst sitting in a stunning scenery, consuming the cooked pasta dishes with some optional wine served by Luca.
This was an exceptional experience. I highly recommend it! Thank you Patrizia and Luca for inviting us into your home and teaching us how to make tagliatelle, tortellini, and tiramisu. You do have to order a taxi or have a car to drive into this beautiful old village. Perched atop the hills the setting is spectacular with views of Lake Como as the wonderful hosts serve you dinner you helped create.
We had the absolute best time in Patrizia’s home! She provided suggestions for taxi’s to get to her house where the transport was smooth. Her husband was lovely and chatted with us all the entire time. Her views are unmatched and she made cooking so fun! I would highly recommend taking her class! The pasta was incredible and tiramisu was as well. We made 2 pastas with all fresh ingredients and even learned how to color the pasta using fresh vegetables! What a fabulous class that made our trip complete!
Loved the authenticity of the experience! Cooking in her kitchen and eating her garden overlooking lake Como was amazing. Patrica was very helpful and welcoming in her home. Great experience.
We had a wonderful time with Antonietta in Vestreno. It was great learning to make ravioli and it tasted amazing! Antonietta was such a great host and teacher. Would definitely book with her again should we ever come back to Lake Como.
I booked Patrizia's cooking class for me and a friend to celebrate my friend's birthday and it was one of the highlights of our trip! It was such a cool experience to be in a local community high up the mountain. We made tiramisu as a group and pasta individually. During the experience we were provided with some very delicious snacks and wine. It was fun and low intensity which I appreciated. At the end we all ate together which was so lovely. Patrizia was a great host & teacher, and I will definitely be back the next time I'm there. I do recommend that you check with your hotel the best way to get there and back...we stayed in Menaggio and this class was in Bellano. The ferries stopped running to Menaggio pretty early but our hotel gave us instructions on how to return. Patrizia also provided taxi contacts which I again would recommend using since they're been to her home before.
A totally awesome experience. Patrizia opened up her home to the 8 of us and showed us how to make two tasty pasta dishes as well as some incredible tiramisu. Highly recommend the experience, well worth the price just to be able to make and eat dinner high above lake Como with a world class view. Would definitely do this again!!
Great event. Patrizia and Luca opened their home to us and everyone had fun. Eating the food we prepared in their garden was second only to view of Lake Como.
An incredibly great and private experience that we are taking home to Germany from our vacation. We were welcomed very warmly and were able to ask a ton of questions! It was a great experience, we learned a lot and had a lot of fun! Highly recommended Thank you for EVERYTHING!
