Description
Profitez d'une promenade en voiture parmi de magnifiques ranchs pour atteindre la cascade El Chorro de Giron où nous ferons une randonnée à travers la forêt de nuages. Plus tard, nous visiterons le lac Busa où nous ferons une randonnée autour.

C'est une journée pleine de contrastes. Nous commençons notre journée en conduisant à travers le ranch toujours vert et riche de la vallée de Tarqui. Le premier arrêt sera dans l'un des lieux historiques les plus importants des batailles d'indépendance. De là, vous pourrez apprécier le magnifique paysage des Andes. Ensuite, nous atteindrons les cascades d'El Chorro de Giron, une incroyable zone de forêt nuageuse couverte de broméliacées, d'orchidées et de mousse vert tendre. Ici, vous marcherez à travers la végétation luxuriante pour atteindre les cascades, une cascade de 250 pieds de haut.
Ensuite, nous nous dirigerons vers le lac Busa où nous ferons une courte randonnée autour du bord où vous pourrez profiter de la vue magnifique. Nous nous arrêterons pour déjeuner dans un restaurant local et retournerons à Cuenca.

Had a great time with Luis! He was very informative and took the time to talk about anything! The falls were amazing and the hike were all steps so not bad at all. Busa lake was a bit of a let down after the falls but it was a nice recreation area and would have been great with warmer weather. Overall, the tour was very good, and our guide made it better!!

Giron Waterfall and Busa Lake were gorgeous. Diego was my guide and he was insightful and knowledgeable, not only about the culture, but about the indigenous flora as well. Beautiful countryside, and great tour guide!

The first location, Giron falls was great. The second location, Busa Lake was not worth the drive. Apparently it's only really used on weekends. When we arrived on the Monday there was construction happening all through the parking lot (it was hard to get through to actually park) and honestly there was not really much of anything to see aside from a very small lake. We were there for a total of about 10 minutes. The driver was not the best -- he spent a considerable amount of time texting on his mobile phone while driving through mountain roads. He was also VERY interested in my female companion but barely said a word to me (a male). Not to the point of being creepy but not far off. In previous tours I have had drivers that were full of knowledge and seeming to enjoy telling you this information. This driver honestly seemed like he had other things to do. At one point he at least actually pulled over to take a phone call for a few minutes. I wouldn't do this trip again.

Both the waterfall and the lake were amazing, but just spending a day seeing the Ecuadorian countryside was the real highlight. It’s one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen.
