Description

It was a brilliant tour with a fantastic guide. Went above and beyond when I left my cellphone behind. I was prepared to get off and they go on but they drove me back for it. The driver was a blast and easy to chat with. The locations were beautiful. I’d definitely go with them again.
Knowing Chris and Lisa as we do, we wouldn't expect anything else, Nicola - and I'm so pleased to hear you were able to recover your phone. Thank you so much for joining this Roam Wales tour. An absolute pleasure to have you with us.
We went on this trip with Roam Wales tiday. Our guide Chris was amazing and so knowledgeable. Our driver Lisa was fantastic too. Both so happy and obliging. The excursion was perfect, a good blend of walking, relaxing, seeing great sights and free time to export on our own. Would recommend Roam Wales to anyone travelling to Cardiff.
What a lovely review to read, Linda. Over the moon to hear you enjoyed your day with us. When I see Lisa and Chris later this week I'll be sure to pass on the feedback. Thanks again for joining the tour and the great recommendation to other guests.
As a couple travelling in Wales without a vehicle, this tour was a fantastic way for us to explore sights beyond Cardiff. The pick-up was centrally located and easy to find, and our tour guide was friendly and welcoming. On the tour, we had ample time to enjoy each stop, with a break for lunch, and numerous opportunities to get out and enjoy the sights. We particularly enjoy visiting the Brecon Beacons National Park, and this tour is a great way to see the park and experience the town of Brecon.
We thoroughly enjoyed the day also - and great to have you both with us. Thanks for joining and this fantastic feedback. Join us again soon!
Chris our guide was wonderful. Full of information and funny. The tour was nice and informative. Only gripe was that the bus was very small/tight for my husband who is 6’2”. Other than that, this was a fantastic day exploring Wales.
Pleased that you and your husband had a lovely time, Shawna. It was a fantastic day and great that you could join us. Thank you for the review, and wider feedback, which help us continually improve our tours of Wales. See you soon!
Very rich and interesting! Super talented and nice guide. Exciting and fun at the same time! Great planned day!
Beautiful places to visit and great driver and guide! The variety of castles was good and Wales history was very informative
Delighted to hear that you had such a lovely day with us, Donna. Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review and rating. It is most appreciated.
This was a wonderful tour. We learned a lot about Welsh history and had a chance to admire nature in the National Park. Our guide Chris was very knowledgable and informative. We would highly recommend this tour to everybody.
So glad you had a nice time with us on Saturday, Sergey. Thanks for the great review!
Nice tour with good itinerary. The Caerphilly Castle is the highlight of this tour. Very informative.
Caerphilly Castle is quite spectacular, right? Glad to hear you enjoyed the tour and thanks for the lovely review.
The trip took us around the beautiful countryside and visited wonderful castles. I even got a chance to see a museum too.
What a fantastic review, Jon. Thank you for taking the time to leave and I'm happy to hear you had a great time and learnt more about our amazing country.
Very nice tour of the Cardiff area, enjoyed Caerphilly most of all. Castle Coch was surrounded by scaffolding and we were told we’d get to see a fourth castle to make up for it, but that didn’t happen. Still, a lovely day and a great chance to see areas around Cardiff. Our tour guide was informative, and the time spent at each location was good.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, Marilyn. We’re really pleased to hear you enjoyed the day overall and especially your visit to Caerphilly Castle, which is always a highlight for our guests. You’re absolutely right that Castell Coch is currently undergoing major renovations, which has unfortunately resulted in scaffolding around the exterior. This essential conservation work is being carried out by Cadw to protect the structure for generations to come, and while it does affect the view from the outside, we hope the visit still provided some insight into its unique charm and history. I also wanted to gently clarify that, in light of the scaffolding at Castell Coch, vehicle tracking shows that we did indeed include a visit to a fourth location – Cyfarthfa Castle and Museum – as an additional stop to ensure you still received a full and enriching Roam Wales tour experience. Thanks again for joining us and for your kind comments about the guide and the day as a whole.
