Canyoning Adventure dans le Salzkammergut de Salzbourg

Description

Awsome experience with a small group. Tour guide was very friendly and spoke good English. Plenty of fun jumps and options not too if you aren't feeling up to it.
thank you :)
Unique, enjoyable experience! Stephen was a great, engaging guide. He's been doing it for 20+ years, so really knows his stuff. We felt safe the entire time. A dozen jumps, from 1m to 8m!! A few natural slides, some minimal rock climbing, and scaling the canyon walls, and plenty of soaking/swimming. At one point my daughter said, "I feel like we're in 'The Goonies!' " If you don't want to take one of the larger leaps, you can hike around any of the jumps. Gear included in our costs were the wetsuits, canyon shoes (far superior to sneakers), neoprene socks, and helmet. Stephan takes a ton of photos along the way, which he shares with you after. No need to bring your phone. Our day was overcast, a bit rainy, and didn't get past 75º F (24º C). Our wetsuits kept us very comfortable! This is my second time canyoning, and I'll continue to look for opportunities to go again. We drove ourselves to the rally point - Hotel Obermayr in Ebenau. Easy drive, if you don't want Salzburg pickup.
thank you for your review, for witch date you need a room? our e mail is info@hotel-obermayr.at best regards max
Awesome adventure. Our guide was amazing and made sure we were always comfortable and having fun. This was the only tour that would pick us up which made it a 5 star experience. Would highly recommend.
thank you, hope to see you again
Thank you for a wonderful adventure! The description on Viator doesn’t exactly match what we did however it was still a terrific trip. We were probably in the canyon for a couple of hours. The guide was patient and terrific with my children and made the whole thing a fun adventure for the family! There was no break in the middle with chocolate but luckily, our guide had some in his rucksack :-)
thank you hope to see you again in our canyon. best regards Max
The canyoning itself was first rate, and our guide, Berni, did an excellent job. The reason for my lower rating is because we felt misled about a couple of details in the description: 1 - there were no refreshments at any point. 2 - “Don’t fuss over equipment rental” but they charge €10 to rent shoes and will tell you that you can only use theirs.
Sorry for miss anderstanding i think you had allredy a cofe befor the tour our fold. you can to the tour with your own normal sport shoes or treking shoes, but swim shoues are not god for the canyon it is easy to hurt youself with an instabil sole, our guid is there to bring you save back home. but anyway sorry for this. If you come back for a tour or in our restaurant you get a drink and shous for free at next tour. best regards Max
Convenient pick-up from our hotel in Salzburg, short drive out to the base hotel. All equipment was provided. It was a great trip and the guide (and owner) was excellent. It was a terrific experience.
We were with Bernie who was an incredible guide and a super fun dude to interact with! He was very encouraging and had awesome information to share about the outdoors! We did not need anything except a bathing suit and towel! They provided warm clothing, canyoning shoes, and protection! I would highly recommend this tour if you have the time or even make it your first priority! The thing that really stood out to me was that they were willing to accommodate to our skill level!
We booked through our credit card, so we weren't quite sure what to expect - but everything was absolutely perfect. We were picked up at our hotel, even though it was not near center city. Our guide, Phillip, was extremely friendly. We were supposed to be in a group of 8, but we were the only people that booked the morning tour. We were emailed by Max ahead of time, asking if we could switch to the afternoon tour, but unfortunately we could not due to reservations. They gave us a private tour anyway, which was amazing!!! I was a bit terrified at first, but I quickly got comfortable. Phillip never pushed us to do something we weren't comfortable with. It was an absolute blast, and I am so glad we booked this tour! Phillip even drove us a different route home to show us more of the scenery and he was very pleasant to talk to. So friendly! I would recommend this to anyone and everyone!

Our guide's name was Manfred. He was amazing! We had such a great time and, by the end of it, wanted to do it again! What an adventure!

Make sure to try and bring your own shoes
They provide wet suits
If you have a go pro..make sure it floats or has a strap

An absolutely fantastic experience. Our tour guide, Max, was brilliant. I was very nervous about jumping...particularly given that the 3 other members of our group were more confident...however Max was very encouraging and kindly roped me down a couple of the jumps! It is a 4-5 hour course and so is physically challenging and involves walking, paddling, a lot of swimming, jumping into rock pools etc everything you would expect from a canyoning experience but it is a very rewarding experience and you would not be able to see the sights we saw without canyoning. If you are looking for something different on holiday which involves a personal challenge then this is definitely it. Max gave the tour in English even though the other couple in the group were Austrian which was very kind of him. Definitely give it a go!!!
