A very nice experience. In a short time you will get an insight into the complex world of the tea ceremony. A beautiful setting overlooking a beautiful garden. A friendly welcome and space to ask questions. Also nice to be able to make your own tea. Highly recommended!

This was such a Zen experience, it’s been the highlight of our trip so far! My daughter has attended several tea ceremonies and she said this one is the best she’s had because of both the beautiful scenery/garden and the educational and serene ceremony presentation. I also loved the Q and A at the end. Exceptional experience!
This was an interesting look at the traditions around the tea ceremony. It was easy to understand and was quite interesting. We enjoyed this. However we did get a little confused when trying to find the place. It isn't at the temple and is its own little house with small garden on the busy street way before the temple.

The place of this ceremony cannot be matched. The whole experience of just being in that garden would be worth the money. The ceremony was well explained and it was beautiful and serene. I highly recommend this experience.
Our host had such a tranquil and calm speaking voice, we could’ve listened to him all day. His instructions were clear and guided us about all of the processes through the tea ceremony. Our hostess was simply lovely and elegant to watch during the entire ceremony. We appreciated the ability to sit cross-legged instead of kneeling, but a chair/stool was offered multiple times to those who needed it. We had a chance to stretch our legs between the actual ceremony and making our own tea. Although rainy, we also appreciated the ability to take in the garden scenery through the two large windows during the ceremony.

Beautiful and best location in Kyoto !!!! It was so close to our hotel- walking distance and in heart of popular destination in Jyotos path
