This tour changes the concept of a travel day. It has everything from bobslee track (so much more interesting than one could imagine), nature, old towns and castles. The lunch stop at the brewery was very nice. Our guide Kullo told us a lot about nature and the history of both Latvia and Estonia. This is the best way to travel between Riga and Tallinn
Private not the Bus: Riga-Parnu-Tallinn Sightseeing was fabulous. I highly recommend making this a private tour to enable flexibility. My guide, Kullo and I were able to take the time we wanted to see the sights. Parnu was fabulous, not many tourists from outside of the Baltics visit, but I highly recommend! Kullo was great! He was on time, kind, and provided just the right information about Estonia - sometimes guides can be info overload - I felt Kullo provided me with a fabulous dose of history and cultural facts during our day long trek!
I had an excellent day traveling from Riga to Tallin with Kullo. We got to see so many things that I would have missed if I took a train or direct bus. I would highly recommend this tour if you want to see some of the beautiful countryside in Latvia and Estonia and get a deeper insight into each country.
This tour is actually one of the highlight of our Baltic tour. You got to see the countryside of the two countries. The sights are amazing! Our favorite is the Bog! I never seen something like that before. It looks like a setting of a fairy tale! We also stop at the old Bobsleigh track (where we actually saw a summer training of some athletes), the town of Cesis, Gauja National Park, and the town of Vilandji (with a bonus of trying the community swing) Also, a huge appreciation to our tour guide Kullo! He gave a lot of interesting information. He is also the one the suggested to go to the Bog even if its not part of the usual itinerary. He also tried to share a lot of things about history of the two countries!
Really good Estonian guide Kullo. In his introduction he asked if anyone wanted to have a bonus stop, but we could only do it if everyone agreed and no one had to be in Tallin at a certain time. We all agreed and the bonus stop at the bog/wetlands was one of the top highlights of the trip. Kullo also explained a lot of related history and nature facts along the way and at the bobsleigh track we got to see a team training and riding the bobsleighs, really awesome
Exceptional day trip with our guide Kullo. We made several stops (including 1 extra to hike in the bog with swim in a lake) : bobsleigh, old castles, nature walks. Each time, Kullo gave a lot of information about Estonia and the different places. Highly recommended : you travel from one city to another AND you spend your day exploring. Thank you again Kullo
I took this tour back in August 2018 and it was wonderful! We travelled from Tallinn to Riga and it was SUCH a good way to get between the two cities. The tour itself was wonderful and honestly one of the highlights of our trip. Everywhere we stopped was super interesting and not somewhere we would have found on our own (especially as we usually stick to the cities). The trip is planned to perfection and our tour guide was so warm and friendly (I think her name was Trina?). She answered every question that was asked of her and was so informative and helpful. I remember researching lots of different ways to travel between the two cities and being unsure of how this trip would go. I am so glad I booked this as I still vividly remember the day now and could not stop singing its praises when I returned home. I would definitely recommend this to everyone who wants an interesting way to travel between the two cities and really get a feel for the surrounding countryside =)
We had a really lovely tour! Our guide Lina (so sorry if I spelled that wrong!) was super nice and helpful. All the stops were interesting and lunch was nice too. Besides seeing beautiful places we would have never even known existed, our guide was full of "inside" information. We are very happy that we decided on this tour instead of just taking a regular bus or train to Tallinn and staring at our phones for a few hours. Definitely recommend!
Myself and a friend did this tour on December 30th 2019 with Andreas. The trip was fantastic! The soviet era bobsleigh track and the national park are well worth a visit. Andreas was very knowledgeable and humorous. English was superb and he was very happy to answer any questions, however trivial. Very knowledgable about Latvia and Estonia history. I would highly recommend. Good value for money.
A lot better than a bus, stops at a cool bobsled place, national park, little towns, old castle stuff. Sure, it's a full day trip, but you get so much more of the country and Mike was crazy enthusiastic about informing us about everything. Highly rec this tour over just taking some bus, you'll learn so much more and get to see things others travelers miss.
