Highly recommend!!

10 stars is more appropriate. This private tour started as a nice way to get from Riga to Vilnius, it ended up as much more and worth every cent! The drive without tour is 3 hours, with the tour its ~9 hours. Much better and cheaper than a flight or driving myself. Pickup and dropoff were central locations, easy to walk to. There were four on us on the bus, and our guide Laura was absolutely the best... so well suited to her job. The tour stops were locations we wanted to see, just the right amt of time on each, the drive was smooth and through interesting towns. The food stops were perfect ... order the honey cake at the Palace cafe, it was decided by all to be excellent. Laura informed us about the region, history, religions, people, and culture. And she was right, we all ended up loving Vilnius! It was good company.

Wednesday, August 6th, day tour.

We arrived at the meeting place a bit early, and met our guide for the day, Laura. Start to finish, Laura was wonderful. She was very knowledgeable, fun, and a great communicator. We were lucky to have her as a guide. And she is a very good driver. There was some commentary while we were on the go, but once we arrived to our stops, Laura cheerfully gave us information about our stops. She made it fun, and easy to understand. We made it to all of the stops that were part of the day tour. I think our tour day lasted around 11hrs. We did have a very nice leisurely lunch stop, which was very tasty. Our group of 7 travelers got along very well. The van was very comfortable. Though the day may have been long, it went fairly fast. We were dropped off in the vicinity of the Cathedral square. We had a wonderful day, with many thanks to our guide, and driver, Laura.

We enjoyed a private trip in a small van.

Mr. Lothar, our guide this time. Since only two couples participated, we directed a private travel time. With easy-to-understand English explanations, I learned a lot from understanding Latvia's history, culture, and current rapid prosperity.

Hill of crosses

Laura was our tour leader - she was great. Great tour would recommend as it’s difficult to get to the hill of crosses and the palace otherwise.

What a way to get to Riga

We had a wonderful trip through Estonia and Latvia with a great group and Catherine as a warm, welcoming and very knowledgeable guide I didn’t particularly like the war museum and would have preferred longer in the National park and Cesis

Wonderful experience!

We took the Riga to Vilnius tour with Beatrice and are so glad we did! Beatrice was amazing and answered all of our many and random questions. And she picked a fun playlist for the drive :) The tour itself is well worth it as you go to spots you might not get to otherwise. I felt like we had the right amount of time at the memorial and at Rundale Palace (though had we been interested in doing the inside of the palace as well as the gardens there wouldn’t have been enough time). At the hill of crosses as well we had the right amount of time. Kaunas was sort of a whirlwind but by that time we were quite tired so it was fine. Lunch was delicious and Beatrice gave us some recommendations of traditional dishes to try. We are both very glad we did this tour and highly recommend it!

Great way to get from Riga to Tallinn (or visa versa)

We were staying in Riga but wanted to go see Tallinn for a couple of days. This tour was fantastic. Our guide Anna was amazing, very funny but knowledgeable and passionate about both Latvia and Estonia. If you want to see a bit of both countries aside from just the old towns or city centres this is a fun, comfortable way to do so (and get from one city to the other). At €65 it was actually great value, a regular bus will cost you around 16€ anyway, here you get there via a series of really beautiful and interesting locations with access to a great guide for nearly 12 hours. Highly recommend

Highly recommend this transfer

I am so glad we chose this tour as our transfer from Riga to Vilnius. We visited places that we wouldn't have done otherwise on our own. The guides were fantastic.Loved Kaunas, wish we had 2 hours there instead of one, but do understand it is a transfer tour and is limited to time.

Hi Thank you for the feedback! Indeed we do have some time limitations on the tour. Especially when the sun starts getting down earlier. However, it is great to read how much you enjoyed the sightseeing bus! All the best wishes Marii
