I ended up as the only person on this tour, but Yaqeline was a fantastic guide! She is funny and very knowledgeable. I especially enjoyed sampling the local snacks. This is a great tour to get to know one of Bogotá’s oldest neighborhoods.
Thank you for joining us in Bogotá! 🇨🇴Sometimes the best conversations happen in the smallest groups, and we're delighted to hear you enjoyed exploring La Candelaria with Yaqueline. We love that the local snacks were one of your highlights. Food, stories, and hidden corners of the city are exactly what make this neighborhood so special. Thank you for spending part of your time in Bogotá with us, and we hope the memories of the historic center stay with you long after your trip.
I booked for the walking+tasting tour with Yaqueline, the tour started at 3 and lasted around 3/4 hours and was a joy from start to finish! Everything I tried was delicious but it was the deep history and knowledge of Columbia and Bogotá specifically that Yaqueline possesses that I enjoyed most. She provided endless facts on the history of the city as we walked, and each one somehow more interesting than the last! Truly and exceptional experience. I attended the tour solo, and there actually wasn't any other groups with us , just me and Yaqueline. It never felt awkward or unnatural, she is very friendly and welcoming, it felt like a walk through the city with a friend, one that happens to be a fountain of local knowledge! Her English is great, very easy to understand and everything was explained well, I feel I could talk for hours about the history of Bogotá, I really learnt so much!
Thank you for such a fantastic review! We’re delighted that you enjoyed the walking and tasting tour with Yaqueline. She loves connecting history, culture, and food in a way that feels alive, and it’s wonderful to hear that her knowledge of Bogotá and Colombia made the experience so rich for you. Everything you tasted is part of our daily life here, and sharing those flavors with travelers is always a joy. You’re welcome back anytime to explore even more of the city with us.
I enjoyed the tour, which was arranged by my hostel. It was an interesting tour and I liked that it was a small group. Luis knows a lot about the places and the country's history and presents it in an interesting way. He also had tipps and ideas to other activities. I first thought the price might be a bit high but given the experience in a small group, it was okay.
Luiz was a great tourguide! A lot of information but also keeping it individual. Can totally recommend it! Was a great start and learned a lot.
Great tour with knowledgeable guide Marcela who could answer all our questions. Mykje about both history and art - recommended!
We spent an entertaining 4 hours with Nick as he guided us through the Candelaria area of Bogotá. He was energetic , friendly and explained everything in a very engaging way. We tested some amazing fruits, Chicha, unique coffees, coca tea and our favourite the hot chocolate with cheese and bread. The time went by so fast we were sad to see it end. He was generous in his help and suggestions so the rest of our experiences in Bogota were as good. Thank you for everything:)
The guide was awesome and I plan to take another one of the tours when I come back to visit. Very good sense of humor and spoke perfect English!
It was definitely worth it. Lifred was a super competent guide, He really knew a lot about the city and also a lot of little things where you might not have heard about it on other tours. I was extremely pleased. Lifred is personally also a very nice person
Instructor Nat was so helpful and understanding and made the experience so enjoyable. Highly recommend 👌
This is simply the best way to spend 3 hours in Bogota. A perfect combination of food, culture, art and history. Our guide Nick was brilliant and very generous with his knowledge and recommendations. Would highly recommend as a way to explore the old district.
