Description
Explorez un Bari secret avec un archéologue expert parmi les trésors cachés des époques romaine, paléochrétienne et byzantine. La visite commence aux fouilles de la Via Traiana sur la Piazza del Ferrarese, un court tronçon de la route historique construite par les Romains au début du IIe siècle après JC, jusqu'à atteindre le musée archéologique de Santa Scolastica. La visite se poursuit vers la cathédrale de San Sabino, un précieux exemple du roman des Pouilles, qui cache dans ses milieux souterrains un itinéraire archéologique très évocateur connu sous le nom de Succorpo. La visite se termine dans l'imposante et solennelle basilique de San Nicola, symbole de l'union entre l'Orient et l'Occident, qui abrite les reliques du Saint. En fonction des horaires d'ouverture des zones muséales et de la disponibilité, deux des sites archéologiques suivants seront visitables pendant la visite : le palais Simi, le château Svevo, la crypte de la basilique, la cathédrale Succorpo et le musée Santa Scolastica.

Le monastère bénédictin médiéval de Santa Scolastica, avec le bastion attenant du XVIe siècle, aujourd'hui siège rénové du Musée Archéologique de la Ville Métropolitaine de Bari, accueille le visiteur à l'extrémité nord de ce musée très répandu en raison de sa densité et de sa variété. d'architecture, d'archéologie, d'art et d'historiens qu'est la Vieille Ville.
Basilique pontificale de style roman des Pouilles.
Imposante forteresse datant du XIIe siècle, aujourd'hui utilisée comme musée. Situé en bordure du centre historique, à proximité de la zone portuaire et de la cathédrale, il représente par sa taille l'un des monuments les plus importants et les plus connus de la ville.

A fantastic glimpse into the history of the old town of Bari from a very knowledgeable guide. The museums were so interesting made better by the narrative of an archeological expert. Would be happy to recommend

The archaeological tour was unavailable for the date I booked and as I didn’t have other times available they swapped it for the city walking tour and food tour. Our guide Ana was super friendly and very knowledgeable and informative and the whole experience was great! I felt that I learned a lot about Bari and each of the sites and the food included was delicious, great quality and ample Would definitely recommend!

Viviana gave a wonderful personalized tour. Her personal experience of Bari and her deep connection with the sites we saw were superlative. I HIGHLY recommend this tour and was very happy that I was able to participate in it. During our visit to Bari we encountered quite a bit of rain but that didn’t deter our guide Viviana! We opted for the Underground tour of Bari which included the Roman ruins as well as the inside of the most important churches. It was informative and you can tell that Viviana is very passionate about her city and the art and culture within!
