Thanks a lot. It was nice to host you in Konya. We wish you a long and enjoying journey of life.
It's very convenient to come and go, two hours stay is good. It's amazing to see scenes of the lives of our ancestors from 9,000 years ago at the archaeological site.
Thank you for your kind comment. It was a great pleasure to meet and host you in Konya.
#Çatalhöyük people #NeolithicEra people who lived around 7000BC in metropolis of the time (like present day lstanbul, Madrid or Tokyo of the time), we come across strikingly different lifestyle which we would not expect from hunter&gatherer&farmer era people. What is striking is that researchers found out that these people lived in equal conditions, no one was superior from the whole group! Similar size houses, no sign of a king or high level religious figures. A finding that shocks present day human mentality as all the system we live in today is designed in favor of those who believe they are better, superior as a result deserve to have the best of everything! Something that make us think are we the primitive ones?! Did we advance in humanity or not?! If you @go_konya , make sure to visit this #unescoworldheritagesite since 2012 to find out how we humans forgot better ways of living together in harmony. The site has a well designed visitor center that is fun to explore by all age groups.
Wow, it is a great comment from a professional. Thank you very much. It was a great pleasure to meet and host you in Konya.
Very interesting archaeological site. Virtual museum well done. Comfortable and spacious parking. Full of beautiful cats. I don't give it five stars because part of the excavation was closed for some reason. They should not charge for the ticket in full.
Hello and thanks for your comment but I need to inform you that the closed 2nd excavation area you mentioned has never been opened to visitors yet. The excavations continue. There are lots of other settlements under the ground which waits to be opened. The first area is open to visitors for now.
This is a must do experience in Konya. Before I came I didn't even know about it but I'm glad that I went. The digital museum is one of the best I have seen, a lot of thought was out into it and it was so detailed. It was easy to book the ticket and the tour bus experience was good. Our tour guide was helpful and spoke English well. I don't remember his name but it was on 22nd March.
Thank you Aisha. It was a great pleasure to meet and host you in Konya. I hope you could find your ring you dropped. :)
Solo traveler. Legit service. I booked online and showed up to the ticket office a couple hours before the bus (1pm). They gave me a paper ticket and I returned a few minutes before the bus left. Very easy to find, it’s right across from the Mevlana Müzesi (Rumi mosque that you will see from a mile away). Got right on, got some basic guidance about the visit, and away we went. Very smooth, very professional. Entry to Çatalhöyük is only 5€ and can be paid when you get there. The two hours they stop is plenty of time to visit the site. I read almost everything in the museum, checked out the model houses, walked a full lap around the mounds, and then went to the excavation.
Thank you very much for your kind and detailed comment which will be helpful for our next visitors. It was nice to meet and host you in Konya. I hope you liked the taste of Höşmerim. Have a nice trip of life.
Wonderful trip to Catalhuyok, the tour company and bus ride were perfect. Easy to find, right near the Mevlani museum, with the bus clearly labelled. I was greeted by a rep from the tour company who gave me a quick introduction and welcome. The driver was great, very nice and a lovely calm driver! Everything went on time and the rep greeted us when we returned. There were only 3 of us on the bus so I've very glad it went! The site itself is incredible, I'd gladly go back for more time.
Thank you very much for your nice comment. It was a pleasure for us to meet and host you in Konya. Have a nice trip of life.
Çatal Üyük is a mythical archaeological site so all of us who love history get our hair on end just after entering there. The museum is supermodern, entertaining and very didactic. Viator makes your visit very easy and comfortable as the site is a little secluded, Viator is a highly recommended option.
Gracias. En Dolash Konya City Tours nos complace contactar con nuestros huéspedes a través de Viator y sus socios. Damos la bienvenida a todos aquellos que sientan curiosidad por la primera ciudad fundada por la humanidad.
Excellent tour. Don't miss this site which is 9000 years old. Hard to fathom how old this place is. Amd the bus trip is easy and worthwhile. Thanks Dolash..
