Assise sur les traces de saint François et de Carlo Acutis

Description

Very informative and pleasant hike with Begoña, an excellent guide
A lot of walking but it's worth it! San Rufino Cathedral has the heart of Carlo Acutis; seeing the tomb of Carlo Acutis made me want to cry, so young and handsome, bought a lot of souvenirs of this millennial saint; visited the Cathedral di San Francesco, learned about his life, depicted through the paintings on the walls and ceiling. Beautiful view of new Assisi down below. The Temple of Minerva, built during the 1st century BC, is in the historical center of the city. A Catholic Church was built inside where I attended a mass earlier today . Assisi is a must- see gem of Italy!
Thank you for sharing such a heartfelt review of Assisi. We’re truly happy that the experience touched you so deeply, especially your visit to the tomb of Carlo Acutis. Assisi has a unique way of combining spirituality, history, art, and beauty, and it’s wonderful to know that you felt that connection throughout the tour. From Cathedral of San Rufino to Basilica of Saint Francis of Assisi and the ancient Temple of Minerva, every corner of the city tells a story spanning centuries. Thank you again for your beautiful words — and for reminding future travelers why Assisi is truly one of Italy’s most special destinations.
Great tour Laid back but informative Luck it was rainy so crowds were low. Moderate walking with hills
Hi, thank you for your kind review! We’re really glad you enjoyed the tour and appreciated the relaxed yet informative pace—it’s exactly the experience we aim to create. And yes, a bit of rain can sometimes be a hidden advantage in Assisi, making the visit more peaceful and intimate. Thanks as well for mentioning the walking level—Assisi’s charm definitely comes with a few hills! We hope to welcome you again soon
Assisi on the Footsteps St. Francis and Carlo Acutis ANN MARIE A._C, Sep 2025 Our Guide was Simona. Due to traffic delays and assisting elderly relatives, we arrived late to Assisi. Simona was patient enough to wait for us. We met at Cathedral of San Rufino. Then, we proceeded to Basilica di Santa Chiara. The beautiful basilica and to be in the presence of Carlo Acutis was a blessing. Simona gave insightful information regarding the cathedral and St. Carlo. We were in present of the "Heart of Carlo Acutis" She gave many details of Assisi. Next, Simona escorted us to Church of St. Mary Major where buried is the body of St. Carlos Acutis. We are grateful Simona was with us over her time. Simona was patience and we appreciate it.
The St. Francis/St. Carlo Acutis Tour was very interesting. Marco was extremely knowledgeable & knew his history facts, & the town of Assisi as well. He took his time and allowed us to stop as long as we wished, and he answered all of our questions.
A spectacle of nature. Lovely places, excellent food and a visit to San Carlo Acutis. A dream. Must-see places. I'll be back very soon
Fredrica was amazing and very knowledgeable. The Catholic and Roman sites were historically significant and beautifully preserved.
Marco led our small tour through Assisi with his extensive knowledge of the history of the local saints, the streets, and religious monuments. Would highly recommend.
Michele was the perfect Assisi guide! We had a little issue with our start time being delayed on our behalf and he was so accommodating! Nothing he didn’t know about Assisi! He was so engaging with our 12 year old who loved to ask questions and we didn’t want the tour to end!
