Cute concept, if I can afford too much tourism the outward impact.... all mainly in English, signs, outdoor advertising..... Florence is no longer the Florentines.... but tourists. But I can understand the choice of the owners......
Found this place to rest our weary legs. It seemed nice at the time, and the staff were nice, but when we came to pay for our standard bottle of wine, they charged us 67 euros. The guy said he would like cash, but being annoyed that they had given us the most expensive wine, we paid by card. Be warned; also ask the price in this place. Such a shame because it was our first visit to Florence, and we were really disappointed they didn't explain the prices. I will take some responsibility that we didn't ask these rip-off sharks the price before ordering. Lesson learned. Would I go there again? It's a big fat NO! I will also give the heads-up to all my friends!! Stay away; there are much more affordable places. Shame on this venue for giving a bad impression of Florence.
Good morning, I believe you may not have visited our venue, as we do not offer table service for wine. Customers are free to choose and purchase any bottle on their own inside our shop, or they can select a glass of wine, with prices clearly displayed and visible. We never ask for cash payments—our customers are always free to pay however they prefer. Please kindly remove this review, as it does not refer to our establishment.
Superb experience , excellent host. Had very good craft beer tasting didn’t eat but plates looked very tasty. Option to taste wines too , had we time we would have tried the wines …next time! Strongly recommended 😊
The board with the cheese, cold cuts and salami was the most memorable part. Tasted four different wines from the region , Tuscany. This is a short time experience as you go to this small location not far from the Pitti Palace. Eduardo was very instructive and cordial in the wine tasting selection process. If you’re looking for something to do that’s a bit different that doesn’t take much time you might enjoy this experience like we did.
Self serving, wine taster's,half glass ,full glass. Knowledgeable staff and excellent cheese selection. Nothing too much trouble.
very kind and personable hosts! he gave some great background on where the cheeses and salamis come from and what wines would pair well. all from local artisans and absolutely delicious! there was a very wide variety of flavors for everyone! really glad we chose this experience!
We stumbled upon this wonderful wine, beer and cheese shop. The owner was very gregarious, understands his customers needs, and made some great suggestions. He didn’t oversell , knew how to offer a cheese selection that paired with the wine or beers you chose. Highly recommend stopping in!
Wine was great! Owners talked us thru the cheese, meats and wine. Busy place! People were.coming in for wine tasting and cooking classes.
Exceptional evening! Welcoming the manager is really nice, he speaks French, is really attentive and friendly. Cheese and cold cuts are exceptional , the concept with wine is really top. We had a memorable evening with the manager and his girlfriend who teaches cooking classes that we would have loved to try. We came here on the recommendation of a French couple. Run it, it's really top
Best foodie experience in Florence! Incredible cheese, meat, wines and beers! It was so good, we went back the next day for the 5 course tasting dinner. Varinia is a remarkable chef! I'll be dreaming of her duck with orange forever! Eduardo's wide selection of craft beer is incredible! Tell him what you like and he will provide many options that you will find no where else. Lucrezia's selection of wines were perfect pairings to Varinia's delightful dishes. Thank you Varinia for this wonderful, special meal!!! Dennis
