It was great! Our guide, George was so kind and very helpful
Straightforward, reliable transportation from Katakolo cruise port to the town and ruins of Olympia and back. Friendly, knowledgeable guide and commentary during the ride.
Absolutely perfect , really smooth and genuinely original. I’d definitely use them again if needed
Everything excellent, the guide, the driver, the bus, the time allotted. The kindness, the location. Everything was an incredible experience.
The meeting location was easy to locate from the cruise port exit. The line to get checked in was very long so you may want to arrive early. We arrived about 10 minutes before. Before we were able to reach the desk, one of the tour operators told everyone to follow him to the buses and we were loaded on the buses. The bus was comfortable but the AC could have been stronger because it felt a little warm in the bus. The drive from the port to Olympia was about 35-40 minutes. We departed the bus and walked to the archeological site and museum. It is 20 euros per person to enter the archeological site and museum. The wait time was maybe 20 minutes to enter the museum. The museum is fascinating and the archeological site is better than I expected. The archeological site is large and we did not walk all of it because of the heat. There are free restrooms at the museum and they are nice. There are also several places to purchase food and drinks. I saw buildings in the archeological site that may have been restrooms but I did not check them out. The meeting point to return to the port was well defined but with 5 buses, it was quite chaotic getting onto a bus. All in all, I’d recommend this experience for the price.
The guide was a local who spoke very good English. She was informative and entertaining. We enjoyed Ancient Olympia and all its history and sights.
It was a lovely bus trip to and from Olympia. Look for Blue awning coming off the boat saying Grekaland. Felt safe and everything ran on time
Boarding Buses was very disorganized. Trip did not include entrance to Olympic Park or museum Seemed like over 200 people signed up for this event
Half day trip to Olympia was pretty good despite the heat . Bus was newish and had air con . Guide told us where to do and go and when to be back
More like organised transport than a tour. We could have received better instruction on the meeting point (it's a light green building on the right hand corner when you get to the road as you come from the cruise ships). Lots of other tour guides shouting for business, people standing around and coaches picking up made it feel quite chaotic. However once we had found the office and checked in it got better - we were walked to nearby coaches (5 minute walk). 3 x 57 seat coaches - so a large group. We had a guide on the coach who gave us some information about the local area. When we arrived we were guided to the site and then paid for entry tickets (€20 per adult). This was easy and only a slight queue. Finally met up at the agreed (drop off) point about 3 hours later for the 40 minute return trip. All in all it was good to have transport arranged, and the trip to the archeological site (plus two museums) was well worth it.
