Aaron was an excellent guide. He was very knowledgeable about the subject and very easy to understand. Highly recommend him
Tour was slow paced. While the guide was passionate about the subject, her delivery was tangential and often included inaccuracies. Most interesting component was visiting the museum at the former Jewish Theater turned deportation location. All in all, I would recommend other uses of this time in Amsterdam.
James was EXCELLENT! Very knowledgable on the topic! He made you feel like you lived through it did an excellent job!
The tour covered a lot of ground in the two hours. Scarlett, our guide did an excellent job of educating us about what the Jewish community of Amsterdam had to go through during WW II.
Thank you for your kind review! We're glad Scarlett helped bring this important history to life and that you found the tour informative and impactful. We appreciate you joining us.
James was a great tour guide and very knowledgeable. He approached the subject with the respect it deserved. He gave us reading, movie, and series suggestions to learn more about some of the subjects and stories that he shared, as well. We appreciated learning more about the history of the holocaust and WWII in Amsterdam and the Netherlands. My only negative comment to the tour company is that we booked the small group tour of up to 8 people but were taken on a large group tour. Thankfully it was not too large but it’s disappointing to pay the higher fee for the smaller tour and be grouped into the lower cost tour.
Thanks so much! Glad James approached the tour with care and helped bring the history to life.
Enjoyed our tour guide and got lucky enough to the only 2 in our tour. Covered all the main areas. Only downside was that our ticket said tour time was 12:30, had to contact the company and the said the tour was actually started at 12:45. The guide showed up exactly at the start time. Good of the WW 11 and Jewish history. Very little on Anne Frank. Glad we did it. Learned lots.
Thanks for your review! Sorry about the timing confusion, but glad you still enjoyed the tour overall.
Very informative. Personable and engaging tour guide. Great insights and stories about Amsterdam in WW2.
Thanks a lot! Nice to hear you enjoyed the stories and insights from the tour.
James was fun, well versed in the history and made the tour remarkable. Our favorite tour of our trip to Amsterdam.
Thanks so much! Awesome to hear it was your favorite tour of the trip.
Aaron was a very pleasant tour guide. He was very knowledgable and accommodating. We took a private tour bc of mobility limitations and he was perfect in adjusting his pace for us. He also listened to both of my kids questions and answered them with knowledge and respect. The company was also great with communication, from the moment I booked to the time of the tour. Highly recommend the company and Aaron, specifically.
Thank you so much! We're glad Aaron could adjust the pace and make it a great experience for you and your family.
Great tour, highly recommend! James was an incredible guide - very knowledgeable on not just the subject matter, but also the history of this beautiful city. We saw so many interesting sites, heard so many great stories and learned a lot. It’s a must-do tour of an important part of history, with a great tour company - and one of the best tour guides I’ve ever had!
Thank you for the wonderful review and recommendation! We’re thrilled that James made the tour such a memorable experience for you.
