Steve is an excellent guide, not just a driver. He gave us an incredible day going above and beyond the basics. His knowledge of the history and facts of the Netherlands was both enlightening, entertaining, and educational. I wish that we had him for all of our trips!

A wonderful day trip from Amsterdam! We traveled the back rusted to see the best if the countryside! The castle was beautiful but Utrecht was an unexpected gem! Beautiful and quaint!! Picture perfect canals and quiet streets! A short stop at a cheese farm was another highlight! I highly recommend this tour!

Seeing the castle was very interesting. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable. The old Utrecht reminded us of San Antonio Riverwalk in Texas USA. Lots of crowds looking to enjoy the shopping and restaurants. Cobblestone streets make it hard for wheelchair.
Dear David, Thank you for the time to write a review. Wheelchairs do make tours more complicated, probably for that reason 4 stars instead of 5, I believe.
At the end of our Rhine River cruise, we booked a day tour to Muiderslot (castle) and Utrecht from Amsterdam. Steve was not able to pick us up at our hotel due to construction. Luckily I turned on my phone to see the change in pick-up location. Very close to the our hotel, so no problem. Steve is a great guide with vast knowledge on Netherland's defense and water management history. He also answered all our questions on current living conditions in the Netherlands. We thoroughly enjoyed Muiderslot and the surrounding area on a great weather day. The local cheese farm tour and snack stop at a local pub were bonuses. Being from Wisconsin, we are very picky about our cheese. The Gouda samples were so tasty that we bought a bunch to take home. Utrecht is 10x better than Amsterdam in terms of tourist crowds and shopping variety (i.e. less trinket shops and more real stores). I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to experience this country outside of Amsterdam.
Dear S, thank you so much you took the time to write this great review. We try to offer our guests much more than just a standard tour and your description proves this. I will pass the message to Steve! Marlou Baets
Our guide steven was fantastic. I had to walk with a cane. He made sure that I was safe at all times. He was very knowledgeable and quite friendly. I could not have asked for a better experience.
Dear Norman, Thank you so much for your wonderfull review. We want to offer an experience, instead of just a private tour. Steve also had a nice time with you and Silvia, as he informed me. Great, that's how it should be ! Take care and hope to see you back again in Amsterdam. Marlou Baets
Before I say anything else, I just want to start off with how much we loved Steve!! He was an absolutely amazing guide!!! We started off the tour with Steve picking us up at our hotel. We went to the castle and he was so thorough with his knowledge of the history of it. After the castle he gave us the option to go straight to Utrecht or we could drive in the country and go visit a local cheese farm. We chose to go to the farm and we are so glad we did! We got to pet some calfs and the family’s dogs (which helped a lot with us missing our own dogs at home). We met the matriarch (grandma) of the family and she showed us how she made her cheese and then she open up her shop for us and let us buy some of it to take home. I would 100% go back to that cheese farm! After the farm, we drove out to Utrecht and Steve showed us around the mall and the surrounding area. We went to go see Dam Tower and the church. The architecture was absolutely stunning and the story behind the church’s history was really interesting! On the drive back to our hotel, we jammed out to some Dutch music and steve translated the words for us. Steve also gave us some great recommendations for local bars and restaurants in the area where we are staying and we can’t wait to try them! Please go on a tour with Steve! You seriously won’t regret it!!
Dear Msschil, Thank you so much you took the time to write this wonderful review. We want to offer our guests an experience, much more than just a private tour. When reading your review, I believe Steve did it again! Hope to see you back again and I will pass the message and compliments to Steve. Take care Marlou Baets
Steven was a fantastic guide. So knowledgeable! So kind. He showed us the castle in great detail. We went down idyllic country roads and sat beside the canal to eat cheese made by “Grandma”. We toured Utrecht and learned all about its history. Best tour ever!
Dear Glassfu,, Thank you so much you took the time to write this wonderfull review. We like to offer an experience, much more than just a private tour, visiting a grandma who still produces cheese can be one of it. I'll pass the message to Steve Take care, Marlou Baets
