Entrez dans le monde des années 1930 de l'émission à succès Channel 5 / Masterpiece PBS "All Creatures Great & Small". Au cours de cette visite, vous passerez une journée remarquable à visiter des lieux de tournage que vous reconnaîtrez instantanément du spectacle lorsque vous traverserez la campagne étonnamment belle des Yorkshire Dales. Suivez les traces de James, Siegfried, Tristan, Helen et Mme Hall en vous promenant dans le village de Darrowby, en passant devant la chirurgie vétérinaire et les marchands de légumes jusqu'à Drover's Arms. Saluez Mme Pumphrey et Tricki Woo en passant devant leur manoir. Vous passez sur le pont étroit où James rencontre toujours un autre véhicule, sur le chemin de la ferme familiale d'Helen située dans le magnifique paysage des vallées du Yorkshire, parsemée de moutons et de bovins sympathiques. Vous visiterez ces lieux et d'autres dans un monospace confortable et climatisé accompagné d'un chauffeur expérimenté et d'un guide expert. Il n'y aura qu'un maximum de 6 invités lors de votre visite, il y aura donc beaucoup de rires, de conversations et d'arrêts photo.

Vous verrez : La célèbre église où Helen a failli épouser le riche propriétaire terrien Hugh Hulton. Skeldale House, la maison de Siegfried, Tristan, James et Mrs Hall. L'endroit solitaire où James descend du bus dans le tout premier épisode. Le vert du village où se tenait la foire de Darrowby. The Drover's Arms, l'abreuvoir préféré de Tristan. Le manoir de Mme Pumphrey, qui abrite Tricki Woo. Alderson's Farm, la maison d'Helen, de sa jeune sœur pleine d'entrain Jenny et de Scruff le chien. Le pont dangereusement étroit où James semble toujours rencontrer un autre véhicule. Superbe paysage des Yorkshire Dales et sa merveilleuse variété d'animaux.

Never realised that the filmimg locations were so close to the Lake Districts and it was fantastic to see such places as Mrs Pumfreys house and the hidden part of Darrowby. Would recommend this tour just for the scenery but the locations make it something special. Thanks.
Anna, that moment of realising how close the filming locations are to the Lakes is one of our favourites to witness. And the hidden corners of Darrowby are exactly the kind of thing you would never find on your own. The scenery alone is worth the day — the locations make it something else entirely. Great tour, although they canceled our tour date without telling us. I only discovered they had canceled our tour when I called in. We had to reschedule for a day later, which caused a large amount of expense and hassle with our accommodations and London train ticket. The tour was great once we were able to go on it.
We are really glad the tour itself was great — and we are genuinely sorry about the disruption to your travel plans. A cancellation without direct contact reaching you is not the experience we want anyone to have, and the knock-on costs to your accommodation and train tickets were a real inconvenience that should not have happened. Because some trips are not booked directly with us, there can be some unwanted confusion or changes with the Online Booking Agent, in this case TripAdvisor, that we are not made aware of at the time and have no control over. We are glad you rescheduled and that the day delivered. Thank you for your patience and for giving us the chance to put it right.
The trip is very good and shows many locations of the films. The driver and guide was very informative and seemed to be into this.
Anita, really glad the day delivered — agreed, it really does take you through so many of the filming locations, and the guide's enthusiasm for the show came through clearly because it genuinely is one of his favourites to give. Travelling out from the Lake District rather than York also means a shorter, more direct route into the heart of the Dales, with more time spent at the locations themselves rather than on the road. Even if you are not a Great Creatures Fan, I know you will enjoy this tour! Tim was an amazing guide and we thoroughly enjoyed his expertise and humor! The Dales are an amazing place to visit!

The Dales really are a hidden gem, and being able to reach them so easily from the Lake District means you get two completely different landscapes in one trip without having to base yourself anywhere else. The tour itself was good. The driver/guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and fun. However, we had seven large people in the van and it was extremely uncomfortable. I understand the need to minimize costs but we felt cramped the entire time. It was a seven passenger van, but there should have been no more than five passengers to give us room to breathe.

For anyone travelling as a couple or small group who would like more space, our private tours give you the same route and the same stories in a vehicle entirely to yourselves — it is worth knowing about for a return visit. What a tremendous day! We love ACGAS and dreamed of seeing the places it’s been filmed. We saw Pumphrey Manor; the crossroads where James first arrived and meets Helen; the church where Helen calls it off with Hugh; the bridge where James and Hugh struggle to decide who will back up and let the other through; the main town used for Darrowby (including the front Skeldale house, the Drovers Arms, the green grocers); the village green where James meets the bus when his parents arrive for the wedding;the Falcon Inn, where his parents stay; the back of Skeldale house; the exterior and interior of the churches used for James and Helen’s wedding; and the Alderson’s farm; and had a delightful lunch at the pub used for one of the interiors of the Drovers Arms. It was truly a delightful way to see the Yorkshire Dales come alive through and outside of the lens of the show! Our guide, Tim, was excellent! He has really taken the time to study up on the show and the real-life James Herriot (Alf White), enjoys the show as much as his guests, and was just a delight to spend the day with asking about the Dales then and now. The pace was leisurely and he let us take as many pictures was we wanted and explore as long as we wanted (obviously keeping us to the schedule). At each stop, he also shows us scene where the location was used, indicating directions and things to notice about the scene and the reality. He also spent time tell on us about the history or other unique characteristics of the places we visited. It was just the best day! We loved it and would recommend the tour to anyone who is a fan of the show or just wants to see the Dales in a unique way.

Tour was very interesting and covered many beautiful areas in the Yorkshire Dales. Guide was very knowledgeable about the sites and even showed excerpts from the television show on his laptop of the film sites
The excerpts from the show at the actual locations — seeing the scene and then the reality side by side — is one of Tim's favourite touches and we are really glad it added something. Thank you for such a thorough week with us.
Our daytrip into the Yorkshire Dales was beyond all expectations. Our driver/guide John S was not only knowledgeable, but also a save driver. We heard and saw a lot about the tv series. Not only that, also about other films. He couldn’t have done me a greater pleasure by taking us to Bolton- and Middleham castle where we could soak up some of the UK’s interesting history. I highly recommend this tour.
