Avant le lever du soleil, le bus est à votre porte, c’est un départ matinal mais cela en vaut la peine. Le trajet vers le sud dure 1h30 et lorsque vous atteignez le parc national de Cape Hillsborough, la lumière s'allume au-dessus de la mer de Corail et les kangourous descendent déjà vers la plage. Ces animaux sont complètement sauvages. Pas de clôtures, pas de spectacles d'alimentation, pas de manutentionnaires. Ils s'approchent à leurs propres conditions — à un demi-mètre près — en cherchant leur nourriture le long du sable à l'aube. Votre EcoGuide accrédité est à vos côtés tout au long de la journée, vous disant ce que vous regardez et pourquoi Cape Hillsborough est l'un des rares endroits en Australie où cela se produit naturellement, chaque matin. Après le lever du soleil, le groupe prépare ensemble le Petit-déjeuner Drovers : petits pains au bacon et aux œufs, café chaud de la presse Française, et authentique végémite australien à essayer si vous l’osez, tout en surplombant la forêt tropicale côtière. 3h00 départ de votre logement. Chauffeur a une pancarte et porte une chemise verte.Temps de trajet environ 1 heure 30 minutes vers le sud le long de la côte suivant hotel Collections.
Entrez dans le parc national avant le lever du soleil avant de vous frayer un chemin sur la plage.
Les kangourous et wallabies sauvages gris de l'Est émergent de la brousse sur la plage au lever du soleil. Complètement sauvage et en liberté. Les animaux s'approchent librement — souvent à un demi-mètre près. Veuillez noter : aucune photographie flash, alimentation, toucher, bruit, haut-parleurs ou lampes de poche ne sont autorisés. Les guides Certifiés vous informeront avant de monter sur la plage.
Après que le soleil est bel et bien dans le ciel et que les kangourous sont partis, le groupe prépare le Petit-déjeuner Drovers ensemble avec vue sur l'eau. Petits pains au bacon et aux oeufs, café presse Français, Vegemite à essayer à l'australienne si vous êtes audacieux.
Nous retournons à Airlie Beach avec vous être déposé à votre logement vers 9h30 avec le reste de la journée pour explorer à votre guise.

- Cape Hillsborough est à 1,5 heure au sud d'Airlie Beach. Le matin est nettement plus froid qu'Airlie Beach, même en été. Une veste légère est indispensable. Portez des couches.

- Les observations de kangourou et de wallaby sont très probables mais ne peuvent être garanties. Les animaux sont complètement sauvages. Le comportement de la faune varie.

What a wonderful sunrise amongst the wallabies ! A real wonder of the world . D’Artagnan and Cara were amazing and organised the trip perfectly! It is definitely worth waking up early to observe the wallabies in their natural environment on the beach! Amazing time with amazing team and amazing wallabies ! Wow ! What an experience . So worth the very early alarm call . It’s was amazing to see the kangaroos and wallabies on the beach at sunrise. There is a warden on the beach who lays out treats for the kangaroos . You can get quite close . Once the sun rises you also can see the beauty of the Park and beach area . When we arrived there was not many people , a little later on quite a few more people arrived . We were collected from our hotel at 2.24am, it’s was approx 2 hrs to get there , on the way back we stopped in an ‘ ‘American Diner ‘ for bacon and egg burgers , they were gorgeous. Back at our hotel just after 9am Our driver was Cara , she was lovely and chatty and was giving us information about the area . It was a small group of 6 , just right .

Thanks to our guide, D, for a great experience! We saw kangaroos and wallabies close up. D is extremely knowledgeable and I learned many new things about these animals. We also stopped at a beautiful waterfall on the way back where you could take a dip. Park fee and a hot breakfast were included in the price so you don't have to think too much before getting on the bus in the wee hours of the morning.

We had a wonderful trip with D. He is super nice, gives any info and makes the trip very entertaining and fun :) The breakfast was delicious and was totally lovingly prepared. The highlight was of course the kangaroos on the beach! Insanely impressive and you have over an hour there. Since we still had a bit of time, he also drove us to a waterfall. Thanks for everything!
