La visite comprend une visite au parc archéologique de la Vallée des Temples d'Agrigente. Caractérisé par un excellent état de conservation et par d'importants temples doriques de la période hellénique. Il a été inscrit sur la liste du patrimoine mondial de l'UNESCO en 1997.
Agrigente est sans aucun doute l'une des plus belles villes du monde, la plus visitée de tous les temps, symbole de l'Antiquité avec sa suggestive Vallée des Temples. Mais Agrigente n'est pas seulement culture et histoire. Elle est belle non seulement pour son patrimoine archéologique exceptionnel, mais aussi pour l'environnement naturel qui la caractérise. La belle plage de San Leone est composée de sable doux et doré, caractérisée par des kilomètres de rivages sablonneux baignés par une mer splendide, avec une couleur bleue intense et des eaux claires. Sa promenade (Falcone et Borsellino) est agrémentée de grands palmiers qui la bordent. Dans ses environs, il y a toutes sortes de services, boutiques et restaurants proposant des spécialités siciliennes typiques. Après avoir exploré les sites archéologiques du parc Valle dei Templi, offrez-vous un déjeuner dans un petit restaurant face à la promenade Falcone Borsellino à San Leone. Ici, les plats sont basés sur des ingrédients de la terre et de la mer, un mélange unique avec une saveur méditerranéenne.
Un splendide joyau blanc éblouissant qui encadre le bleu clair de la mer est la Scala dei Turchi. Une des destinations préférées des étés du sud, grâce à sa conformation aux lignes douces, arrondies et irrégulières et à la couleur de sa falaise blanche "froide". Il est composé de roches sédimentaires argileuses et calcaires, ce qui donne à la falaise sa couleur blanche caractéristique et sa basse température au toucher. La falaise peut être atteinte par un chemin d'immenses marches, au sommet desquelles les touristes "campent" généralement pour bronzer ou admirer le magnifique panorama sur la côte tout aussi fascinante d'Agrigente.

Giuseppe was a great driver. He took time to explain the sights to us and shared a lot about Sicilian culture. Anna, our tour guide at the temples, was incredibly knowledgeable and allowed us the time we needed to take a lot of pictures. She also happily took our picture in great spots with the temples in the background.

Beautiful drive from Palermo to Agrigento. The tour was wonderful and very informative. Lunch was great and we really enjoyed Scala de Turchi. Our driver Guiseppe was so kind and very helpful and knew the area very well.

This full day experience featured a drive south to Agrigento to see the temples of the gods. Our driver, Mimmo, shared information along the way. He was super courteous and concerned for our comfort and welfare. Our guide at the temples was Anna. She was incredibly knowledgeable and we felt well informed about what we were seeing. Long drive from Palermo but totally worth it. The valley of temples is stunning. Having a guide was worth the extra cost but the layout and signage would make it possible to do without.

You do want to see the valley of temples. You will feel transported in time and probably will feel you are in Greece. Fabrizio our driver and Danielle our guide were amazing. The valley of the temples is not to be missed – the ruins are beautiful, the history is fascinating – our guide Anna did a wonderful job.— the park itself is beautiful and green and open, and you feel like you are out in nature. Scala dei Turchi was less impressive – perhaps in part because we chose not to climb down the stairs and saw it from above. One of the best parts of our day was getting to know our wonderful driver Luca (ask for him if you can!)
