Découvrez le charme d'Hyderabad lors d'une visite expérientielle de 4 heures à travers sa vieille ville historique. Commencez par l'emblématique lac Hussain Sagar, qui abrite la plus grande statue de Bouddha monolithique du monde, et passez devant le parc Lumbini, Birla Temple Hills et l'Assemblée législative de l'État. Entrez dans la vieille ville animée, explorez la plus ancienne gare de Nampalli et admirez le Badshahi Ashurkhana. Hussain Sagar est un lac en forme de cœur construit par Ibrahim Quli Qutb Shah en 1563 après JC occupant 5,7 kilomètres carrés et est alimenté par la rivière Musi. Une grande statue monolithique du Gautama Buddha, érigée en 1992, se dresse sur le rocher de Gibraltar au milieu du lac. Il sépare également le centre-ville d'Hyderabad de son quartier Secunderabad. La profondeur maximale du lac est de 32 pieds.
Le parc Lumbini est un petit parc urbain public de 2,5 hectares adjacent à Hussain Sagar, du nom de Lumbini du Népal, dédié à Lord Buddha.
La plus grande statue de Bouddha en granite monolithique au monde a été érigée en 1998. Elle mesurait 18 mètres et pesait 350 tonnes, sur le "rocher de Gibraltar" au milieu de Hussain Sagar. Cette statue est située au parc Lumbini sur l'île de Hussain Sagar, accessible en 15 minutes de bateau.
Birla Mandir est un temple hindou, construit sur un tertre appelé Naubath Pahad, haut d'une hauteur de 85 m, sur un terrain de 13 acres. Le temple a été construit par la fondation Birla, qui a également construit plusieurs temples similaires en Inde, tous connus sous le nom de Birla Mandir.
Le bâtiment de l'Assemblée législative de l'État de Telangana a été construit en 1905 pour marquer le 40e anniversaire du 6e Nizam Mir Mahboob Ali Khan de l'État d'Hyderabad. Ce joyau blanc de la splendeur architecturale d'Hyderabad a été conçu par des architectes spécialement mandatés. Il jouxte les jardins publics pittoresques, également connus sous le nom de célèbres jardins suspendus.
La gare d'Hyderabad Deccan (Nampally) a été construite en 1907 par Osman Ali Khan, le dernier Nizam d'Hyderabad. Ce merveilleux bâtiment a été utilisé autrefois par les premiers rois de Nizam pour leurs voitures personnelles.
Le marché de Mozamjahi est très célèbre pour le marché aux fruits et aux fleurs construit Lors de la décision du dernier Nizam, Mir Osman Ali Khan en 1935 après JC
La Haute Cour de Telangana est la Haute Cour de l'État indien Telangana. Fondée par le 7ème Nizam SE Mgr Mir Osman Ali Khan, elle a d'abord été créée en tant que Haute Cour d'Hyderabad pour l'ancien État princier d'Hyderabad Deccan, puis renommée Haute Cour d'Andhra Pradesh, créée le 5 novembre 1956 sous l'autorité des États. Badshahi Ashurkhana est un lieu de deuil pour les musulmans chiites, près de Charminar. Il a été construit à la mémoire du martyre de l'imam Hussain et est utilisé pendant la fête de Moharram.
Il s’agit d’un marché d’épices, de perles et de tissus en route pour Charminar, qu’il vaut mieux explorer à pied.
Char Kaman (signifiant quatre portes) sont quatre structures historiques situées près de Charminar qui ont été construites en 1592. Charminar Kaman, Machli Kaman, Kali Kaman et Sher-e-Batil-Ki-Kaman
Makkah Masjid est une mosquée de 20 000 habitants construite autour du XVIIe siècle par Muhammad Quli Qutb Shah, le cinquième souverain de la dynastie Qutb Shahi, qui a commandé des briques à partir du sol rapporté de La Mecque. Les vendredis après midi, des prières sont offertes.
Les cafés iraniens ont été initialement ouverts par des immigrants iraniens zoroastriens dans l'Inde britannique au XXe siècle, fuyant la persécution islamique en Asie occidentale et en Asie centrale, vantant leur popularité pour le thé chai iranien. Hyderabad propose également des biscuits spéciaux à la nizamia (osmania).
La marque de Hyderabad construite il y a près de 400 ans. Il y a des marches à parcourir pour atteindre les minarates pour avoir une vue complète de la vieille ville. Ces marches sont fermées tous les vendredis. Vous pouvez payer les frais d'admission directement.
Laad Bazaar est un très vieux marché prisé des bracelets joncs situé sur l’une des quatre routes principales qui partent de l’historique Charminar. Laad signifie que la laque est utilisée pour fabriquer des bracelets sur lesquels sont incrustés des diamants artificiels. Dans cette zone commerçante longue de 1 km, la plupart des magasins vendent des bracelets joncs, des saris, des articles liés au mariage et des bijoux de fantaisie.
Les tombeaux appartenant à la noblesse de la famille Paigah, qui étaient des loyalistes féroces des Nizams, servaient d'hommes d'État, de philanthropes et de généraux à leurs côtés.

We Had an amazing half-day Old City experience! Everything was well organized, and the guide Mr Srinu shared fascinating stories about the history and culture. We explored iconic landmarks, enjoyed delicious local food, and got great recommendations for shopping. It was a fun and memorable experience—I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Hyderabad!
Excellent trip, Srinu was very knowledgeable and the tour was extremely interesting. It is impossible to get the same information from the Web as it is delivered first hand. Great to visit the tombs and escape the hustle and bustle. The chai tea and cookies were a particular highlight before going to the old city....a great mix of sights. Mr Munner the driver was also very kind. I would recommend highly.

Great experience. First trip to Hyderabad for work. Let me say this: If you want to truly understand Hyderabad’s layered past, book a tour with Anand immediately. Our day together was a deep dive into the city’s extraordinary Qutb Shahi and Nizam dynastic heritage, and Anand’s knowledge at every stop was genuinely impressive. The Makkah Masjid alone was worth the entire trip — Anand explained how its massive stones were interlocked without the use of lime plaster, a construction feat that left me speechless. He brought the same depth to the Charminar and the Ashurkhana, weaving together architectural detail, theological history, and lived local context in a way no guidebook could replicate. The Laad Bazaar was an experience in itself — a vibrant tangle of bangles, spices, and vendors — and having Anand alongside to guide negotiations in a market without fixed pricing was absolutely essential. He consistently ensured fair exchanges without ever making the process feel transactional or rushed.
