Nous organisons des circuits écologiques de randonnée dans la jungle uniques et inoubliables qui aident à préserver le parc national de Gunung Leuser et ses orangs-outans menacés. Mais nous offrons plus que des expériences de trekking traditionnelles. Nos guides anglophones sont certifiés par l'Association des guides touristiques d'Indonésie (ITGA-HPI Himpunan Pramuwisata Indonesia), et ils aiment partager leurs connaissances avec vous tout en aidant à garder le parc national Gunung Leuser propre et sûr pour les humains et les animaux! Nos visites et activités d'une journée font une différence dans la communauté locale. Lorsque vous achetez l’un de nos circuits de randonnée, 10 % des recettes sont versées à des enfants de Bukit Lawang qui n’ont pas les moyens d’aller à l’école et à des mères célibataires qui ont des difficultés financières. Cet argent aide les enfants à aller à l'école et, éventuellement, à trouver des emplois qui leur permettront de subvenir à leurs besoins et à ceux de leur famille.

We had a wonderful two day trek with our guides Bim Bim and Rahmad! We were lucky enough to spot 10 orangutan’s on our first day and 2 on our second day! We were also lucky enough to see other monkey species and a few insects. The food included was incredible, especially the dinner cooked by a fantastic cook at the camp. We had lots of fresh fruit each day as well. Bim Bim and Rahmad were incredible guides who brought lots of energy and laughs to each day. We hope to return again one day, it was a great experience 🦧

Perfect trekking! I've joined a group for a 2d 1n, many animals to see in the jungle. The food was perfect too ! The night in the cabin was chill , a nice area close to a river . With a very nice surprise at the end ! Cheers for all!

I can absolutely recommend this tour. We did a 2-day, 1-night jungle trek, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The Team arranged everything for us, the airport pickup in Medan, the transfer to Bukit Lawang, the hotel stay, the actual trekking, and the return transfer. They organized it all for us, and everything worked flawlessly. The prices were also really fair, and we never felt like we were overpaying for anything we asked them to set up. The trek itself was so much fun, and a huge thank you goes to our two guides, Karan and Ridho, who were simply perfect. They were genuinely friendly, super accommodating, and took incredibly good care of us the entire time. Thanks to them, we saw a lot of amazing wildlife. The food provided during the tour was absolutely delicious, and we felt perfectly looked after around the clock. Five stars!

Every part of this experience was great. From getting picked up at the airport to being guided through the jungle, we have no complaints at all. We arrived Monday night in Bukkit Lawang, left for the trek the next morning, stayed in the jungle Tuesday night, and stayed in Bukkit Lawang again Wednesday before heading back to Medan. Would highly recommend a similarly paced trip. Our guides were amazing, the trails weren't too crowded, the food was actually incredible (even the lunch and dinner in the jungle), and the orangutans were of course the highlight. We were very lucky and got to see 5 different orangutans, and one was a 3-week old baby. A lot of the guides work together to find the orangutans and communicate to each other where they are. But I think the best part of the experience was waking up to orangutan in our camp. It hung out for probably 4 -5 hours, and we actually got to look at from about 30 meters away while we ate our breakfast. Couldn't recommend this company enough. I will tell anyone I ever talk to that is going to Indonesia that this is a must-do experience.

We just completed the 2 day / 1 night trek with Sumatra Orangutan Trekking Company and couldn’t recommend them enough! We were lucky enough to see 5 orangutans, as well as lots of other monkeys and wildlife throughout the trek. The experience was incredible from start to finish. Our guides, Nasir and Rahmat, were absolutely amazing. They made sure we felt safe and comfortable at all times, and their knowledge of the jungle and wildlife made the trek even better. The food was also great, and the jungle camp beds were exactly what we expected — definitely not bad for mattresses on the floor in the middle of the jungle! The company also organised our airport pick-up and drop-off, which made everything super easy and stress-free. The trek itself is quite challenging at times, but if you have a decent level of fitness, you’ll be absolutely fine. Overall, an unforgettable experience that we would highly recommend to anyone visiting Sumatra!

I was so impressed with the way this company operates. The timely responses, their ability to adapt to sudden changes, the quality of their guides, everything exceeded my standards. Definitely recommend this operator, very efficient communication before arrival and once in Bukit Lawang they take great care of you, ready to accommodate any situation. I was supposed to do two nights on the jungle but because all the members of the group were just doing one, I changed to one night too and they found an accommodation for me quickly. I also did the wild elephant monitoring and it was an amazing experience. Few practical tips: for accommodation, ask for the Ecolodge, slightly more expensive than others but absolutely worth it. To decide how many nights in the jungle, we saw 11 orangutans and many other monkeys, including gibbons, by doing 2 days 1 night. Take into account that the trek is not always easy, especially if not super fit, and it can rain a lot, making it much harder. The guides, in my case Bimbo and Ramat, have been amazing and help you with anything you need, even carrying your backpack if you’re struggling. The camp is very very basic, fine for one night but, unless used to these situations, it can be a lot for more than one night. Overall, amazing experience and definitely recommend.
