We spent a lovely 1.5hrs seeing the gorge, due to a very wet season we were advised (and reimbursed) prior the ride the trip that it would be shorter. We spent time off the boat to see artwork, I would have liked the guide to take us along and speak about each piece. It is a truly beautiful part of the world. Well worth taking.
Thank you for your thoughtful review, Pauline. We're delighted you enjoyed the beauty of Nitmiluk Gorge and appreciated your understanding following the wet season changes. We also appreciate your feedback about the Rock Art experience. It's a valuable suggestion, and we'll certainly share it with our team as we continue to enhance the tour. We hope to welcome you back to Jawoyn Country when all the gorges are open again. The Nitmiluk Tours Team
Sadly the tour could only visit the first and largest of the gorges due to the flooding earlier in the year however the tour did visit the rock art section at the end of the first gorge, so it was still very worthwhile and to be honest the second gorge wouldn’t have been much different. Sarah was our guide and she was very knowledgeable and friendly guide. The gorge was very beautiful and there were several freshwater crocs as well as birdlife. The rock art too was interesting to see. Note for the tour operator - perhaps the queue system at the dock could be done better . There was a queue system for those who cam on the Ghan however on our tour in was a lot more disorganised and not clear as to how tongue or wait for the tour. If it was done the same way as the Ghan tour it would’ve been better. Happy birthday to Sarah too. Great job.
Hi Aussie_2012, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and for your kind words about Sarah. We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed your time exploring Nitmiluk Gorge, spotting wildlife, and learning about the ancient rock art and rich cultural heritage of Jawoyn Country. While recent flooding has temporarily limited access to the upper gorges, we're pleased to hear that the Rock Art experience helped make your cruise worthwhile. Sarah will be thrilled to receive your birthday wishes and recognition for her knowledge and friendly guiding. We also appreciate your feedback regarding the boarding and queue process at the jetty. Guest feedback like yours is invaluable, and we will certainly review our procedures to see how we can make the experience clearer and more organised for future visitors. Thank you again for visiting Nitmiluk National Park, and we hope to welcome you back soon to experience even more of the gorge system. Warm regards, The Nitmiluk Tours Team

My husband & I thoroughly enjoyed our cruise. 2nd time there for me since 1989 & 1st time for hubby. The crew were friendly & special acknowledgement to ‘Jodie’, a local Jarowyn girl, who knew everything we wanted to know & more. The love of her country is evident. Everyone concerned, has done a great job with the cleanup after the floods. Looking forward to being able to visit the other gorges on our next trip.
Dear N4551WHsueh, Thank you for your wonderful review and for choosing to visit Nitmiluk again after so many years! We're delighted that both you and your husband thoroughly enjoyed your cruise. It is especially heartwarming to hear your kind words about Jodie. As a proud Jawoyn woman, she is passionate about sharing the stories, culture and beauty of her Country, and we're sure she will appreciate your special acknowledgement. Thank you also for recognising the efforts of our team and community in recovering after the recent floods. We can't wait to welcome you back when the remaining gorges are accessible again, so you can experience even more of the spectacular Nitmiluk Gorge system. Safe travels, and we look forward to seeing you again soon. Warm regards, The Nitmiluk Tours Team

We booked from NZ, please be aware when booking that you make sure you select the correct currency at the top right of your screen. i inadvertently booked in US$ so had to pay exchange rates to AUD. my suggestion would be to book directly when you get to Nitmulik as the people there are extremely helpful and friendly. The tour had been reduced to the main gorge as the second gorge infrastructure has been destroyed by the recent floods, so we were promised a part refund, which has come through b the second day after the tour. Ben, the Irish tour guide was brilliant in his commentary, and is a real asset to the tour. highly recommended but be careful when you book as the second gorge will not be available till July. The Japanese girl at reception was extremely helpful
Thank you for your detailed review, Philip. We're delighted to hear you enjoyed your cruise and that Ben's commentary helped make the experience memorable. We'll also be sure to pass your kind words on to our reservations team. We appreciate your understanding regarding the temporary changes to tour operations following the recent flood damage and are pleased the refund was processed promptly. Thank you for sharing your booking advice with future visitors, and we look forward to welcoming you back to Jawoyn Country once the full two-gorge experience returns. The Nitmiluk Tours Team
