Cette excursion en bateau vous permettra de découvrir pourquoi la Ria Formosa a été élue l'une des 7 merveilles naturelles du Portugal. Les oiseaux étant l'un des principaux attraits de ce parc, ils font l'objet d'une attention particulière ; cette croisière de deux heures vous permettra de les observer de près dans leur habitat naturel. Cette visite en petit groupe est limitée à 11 personnes, ce qui permet de vivre une expérience plus intime.

Montez à bord d'un bateau ponton confortable. En compagnie d'un guide naturaliste, cette excursion en bateau vous permettra de découvrir pourquoi la Ria Formosa a été élue l'une des 7 merveilles naturelles du Portugal. Et comme les oiseaux constituent l'un des principaux attraits de ce parc, ils méritent une attention particulière. Considérée comme l'une des zones humides les plus importantes pour les oiseaux aquatiques au Portugal, cette visite nous permettra d'observer des oiseaux tels que la cigogne blanche, l'aigrette garzette et la spatule blanche. Les échassiers sont particulièrement nombreux en hiver, même si des oiseaux comme le courlis corlieu, le tournepierre à collier et le pluvier gris sont présents toute l'année. Vous aurez ici l'occasion de découvrir l'une des activités économiques les plus importantes de l'Algarve, ainsi que des espèces très intéressantes telles que la barge à queue noire (Limosa limosa), l'huîtrier pie (Haematopus ostralegus) et bien d'autres encore.
Le parcours se poursuit en direction des îles du parc naturel, en passant par des fermes ostréicoles et mytilicoles.
Vous aurez ici l'occasion de découvrir l'une des principales activités économiques de l'Algarve, comme les élevages de palourdes et les parcs à huîtres.
À l'endroit où la lagune rejoint la mer, nous faisons une halte pour que vous puissiez profiter de ce petit coin de paradis. Il s'agit d'une zone de reproduction importante pour la guifette mouchetée et le pluvier à collier interrompu. En hiver, on observe souvent la sterne de Sandwich et le flamant rose. Les espèces d'oiseaux répertoriées peuvent varier en fonction de la période de l'année. Formosamar ne pouvant garantir l'observation de toutes les espèces d'oiseaux mentionnées, celles-ci se trouvant dans leur habitat naturel.
La visite se termine par une vue imprenable sur la vieille ville de Faro.

It was very interesting to look at the birds and some huge crabs in their habitat. We used binoculars to enjoy the view and not to bother the wild animals. The guides helped us to identify each bird and to spot the crabs.

We decided to go on this bird watching cruise at the last minute and it was the best decision we had made! Our guide Luis was so knowledgeable about the birds and the environment and made all of us in the boat most welcome. He also spoke in German and Spanish too! Excellent value for money!

Thoroughly enjoyed! Just the right length trip for us. We were pleasantly surprised to see so many different species (in the teens) and our guide was wonderful at spotting and pointing out everything to us. He was extremely knowledgeable and entertaining.

Really fantastic! Saw over 20 species through top notch binoculars and had a little stop over in the dunes. The guide was super knowledgeable about the birds and even provided the names in different languages. My highlight was seeing five spoonbills!!!

This was a great trip out into the tranquil Ria Formosa lagoon and natural park. We were lucky to see a variety of birds including highlights for me, the Osprey and Flamingo. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and the whole experience was relaxing and enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this spring time trip.

An excellent trip. Carlos was really good and helpful, both for my wife who is fairly knowledgeable about birds and myself who am interested but I don’t know a lot. We saw many types of birds including an osprey. Carlos even took the effort to go right round the bay so we could have a closer view of the osprey and those with good cameras could take a photo.
