The tour guide Jonny was friendly and funny but the half day trip was average, a stop off at a farm which was more an over sized allotment with a few farm animals. Tasted sone honey and "firewater" and option to purchase wares. Next stop a cafe for a custard tart. Not really much more to say on that one and 2 more stops to public waterfall with leg killing 174 steps down and back up.. be aware, was pretty crowded down there too. Last stop a stream/swimming area with cafe and ice vans. If you were not going in the water, well over half the trip time is dedicated to these stops. Once again not expensive and the ride through the hills at speed in the jeep was the best bit and gets you away from Old town/The strip vibes. Worth the money but don't expect too much.
Had a great afternoon out in the jeep, perfect amount of stops. We stopped at a lovely little farm, samples some home made drinks, had a chance to grab some local food and desserts and a couple chances to have a refreshing swim by a waterfall and at a spring. Driver was fantastic, friendly funny and very informative and even dropped us back off at our villa ❤️
What an amazing trip, from start to finish! Myself and 2 children loved every minute, with my 14yr old saying it was the best trip he has done! The tour guide was brilliant and made the experience even more enjoyable! The views were something else and considering doing the same trip at sunset! Would highly recommend!
Brought 5 friends and driver b good was cordial, fun and I had to keep my wife from looking at him. 😊. We did it all, and was quite happy, no rush just a great countryside trip.
A great way to see beyond the beaches. Pedro our guide was knowledgeable and informative which made the trip interesting.
It was a fabulous 4 hours visiting real Portugal. Rustic, exciting and great fun. “Johnny be good” our driver was fabulously informative. We were able to purchase local produce and cold drinks. Fresh water swimming was exciting.
Everything was ordinary. It was a waste of time and money. It was just a bad ride through dusty roads.
I booked this trip through Viator, as my daughter & I wanted to explore some of the countryside in the evening. 🇵🇹☀️. We met our driverJohnny close to our hotel which was excellent !✨He was very friendly & funny from start to end! He gave us lots of information along the way! There were 8 of us in total in the jeep. The Algarve is beautiful! We passed through a few villages, and our first stop was at a farm. We got to see peacocks, ducks, geese, chickens, goats, a pig & horse! 🦚🦆🐓🐐🐖🐴 We also got to taste honey, jams & ‘fire water’. So many drops are growing on this farm, it was really lovely. 🌱🌳🌶️ Our second stop was at a ‘custard pie factory’, but due to the time of our trip they’d sold out! 🤩 We had lemon meringue pie & cake which was so good.🍰🍥 Our next stop was at the ‘“Queda de agua do vigario” waterfall! 🌱💦 There are many steps down, but so worth it! Beautiful. Finally we went up into the mountains to watch the sun set at Messines. 🌅 Here you have 360 degrees view of the surrounding countryside! The sunset spot itself is beautiful! I definitely recommend you go on this trip, it’s super good value for money & I feel you get to see the ‘real’ Portugal, a must see! ❤️🇵🇹
