They made an effort to look for the animals, we found whales, squirrels and dolphins. super personal and excellent explanations
Great experience, saw more than expected,
Great trip with many sightings. Not a 5/5 because there were too many people on the boat for my liking.
Our captain and guide were great. We saw 3 different kinds of whales and several different kinds of dolphins up close! It was fun and we learned a lot too.
Very good, professional explanations and commentary during the observation of the different species of whales by a knowledgeable biologist -Top!
The weather for our trip was terrible with poor visibility. The guide set our expectations and even gave us the opportunity to reschedule or get a refund. We decided to go for it and still saw a whale and her calf, as well as very rare beaked whales and dolphins. So pleased we decided to go for it and would recommend.
It was pleasant on boat, they gave good explanations about what the animals do and when they dive so you could take beautiful pictures. We have seen many different ones and have done this very well to put this in the week. Very friendly and helpful
Highly recommended experience: all the staff is very knowledgeable, available, kind, and generous. We booked at the airport thanks to Maria Isabel's advice, we chose the boat (comfortable) and during the outing, we spotted 5 different species, including one that is very rare. The explanations were clear and very interesting. We navigated among a hundred dolphins, truly exciting! Upon returning, we were given a document with the species we saw. An unforgettable trip
This was an underwhelming experience. We saw some whale fins and a dolphin . However, these animals are shy and don’t jump, like whales do in Argentina or dolphins in Costa Rica. The tend to take a shallow dive and go away. Do you only see their fins. The boat moves a lot in the open Atlantic, so several people got sea sickness, one of them constantly vomiting. The company was serious and the guide was knowledgeable. They did change the date of our excursion citing rough sea conditions on our original date, but the guide then mentioned whale sightings on that day, which made me question whether it had just been an excuse. The best part was the scenic drive from Madalena to Lajes. I would not recommend recommend this activity if you’ve already seen whales or dolphins before.
The experience was advertised as a zodiac boat, but we were on a much larger vessel. As a result it was more difficult to see the whales - it depended on your side of the boat and if someone decided to park themselves in front of you to take pictures.
