Un día lleno de aroma a café será nuestra recompensa al visitar la plantación de café más grande de Costa Rica, conocida como Hacienda Doka estate, ubicada en las faldas del Volcán Poas. Visitar esta plantación de café Doka, le permitirá conocer todo sobre el proceso y las buenas practicas relacionado a este cultivo, así como también en nuestro recorrido por la hacienda cafetalera observaremos sus maquinarias y podremos descubrir el paso a paso de germinación de semillas para el primer cultivo de las plantas, el proceso de desarrollo de la planta y hasta el punto de recolección del grano maduro, también aprenderemos sobre la historia de la finca, la producción y variedades de plantas de café, la geografía del área y la manera tradicional de cultivar el grano del café, muy importante rescatar que estar en el entorno natural y cultural de esta hacienda cafetalera te hará querer disfrutar de una exquisita taza de café mientras tomamos un exquisito desayuno típico costarricense.
Nos dirigiremos hacia el hermoso VOLCÁN POAS, cuyo atractivo principal reside en que se puede acceder hasta el borde del mismo. No solo tiene uno de los cráteres más grandes del mundo, sino que está ubicado en los bosques montañosos de la Cordillera Volcánica Central y podremos aprender de las emanaciones de gases, ecosistema y vegetación. Camino al Volcán podrás notar sus diferentes microclimas y la gran diversidad de agricultura, podremos observar gran variedad de plantaciones y fincas ganaderas al mismo tiempo que lograremos tener una vista espectacular del Valle Central. Y la laguna de su cráter nos dejará enamorados con ganas de regresar. La estadía completa en el Parque Nacional Volcán Poas será de 50 minutos aproximadamente los cuales se distribuyen en: 10 minutos en la Charla inicial, e información, 10 minutos caminata hacia el mirador del cráter del Volcán, 20 minutos de permanencia fija en el mirador y otros 10 minutos en el regreso al estacionamiento del transporte.

The tour operator informed me of the cancellation far too late. I received the cancellation notice at 9:00 PM the night before the tour. By that time, I was already preparing to go to bed, so I did not see the message until the next morning. They should have informed customers much earlier. In addition, I had sent a message through the chat asking about the meeting time for the next day, but my question was completely ignored. I found this tour company to be unprofessional and disrespectful, and I would not recommend them.
This was a great experience. Our tour guide who was also our driver was amazing and very knowledgeable. The food was great and various coffee samples and snacks throughout the day. Would definitely recommend.
Great experience!!! Fila, our guide, was very knowledgeable and kept us on a tight schedule. I can't believe we got to see a volcano up close. We also enjoyed our time at the coffee plantation and the Peace Falls. The scenery was amazing. I'd recommend this for anyone interested in nature and who enjoys that great outdoors.
Excellent tour! A full day of much knowledge and adventures. Our guide Filander made sure to explain everything about Costa Rica and that we felt safe throughout the tour.
Filander was an excellent guide, very knowledgeable and informative. He was very patient and eager to answer our questions. He told us about many hidden gems of costa rica and places to eat and see. It shows how passionate he is and how much he enjoys sharing his wisdom. I was picked up on time from my hotel around 6:15 am. We drove to the coffee plantation where he walked us through the farm. We had an excellent breakfast and then drove to poas volcano. It was foggy with no visibility when we reached. He told us to visit the lagoon since he knew it was clear and knew the crater would clear out by the time we returned. He was right on spot and we saw the gorgeous views with full visibility. We then drove to waterfall garden where we saw different wildlife. We finished off with the 5 stunning waterfalls before we started our drive back to our hotels. Filander explained us about different plants, flowers insects, animals. Overall he had an amazing knowledge about everything. He even provided great options of other tours that I could take and how to book them. Overall It was a great day. Absolutely worth doing for someone visiting Costa Rica.
Really nice tour, especially for a first time visitor like me. The coffee and breakfast at Doka were amazing and learning about the coffee making process very iinteresting. The Poas Volcano is absolutely incredible and it should not be missed, even if the view is very affected by the weather. La Paz Waterfall is a beautiful place, a bit sad to see the animals in cages but unfortunately they are rescued animals that can't be reintroduced in the wild. I think most of these places can also be visited without a guided tour, but if you don't have a car or just want to relax, this tour is a great option.

This was a very well-organized and fulfilling tour. It covered all the must-see highlights around San José.We started at Doka Coffee Estate with breakfast and a coffee tour, then visited the Poas Volcano and Botos lagoon, and later explored La Paz Waterfall Gardens with animals, lunch, and waterfalls. The itinerary was packed but well-paced. Our guide, Fila, was experienced and explained everything clearly. Overall, it met my expectations and I would recommend it.
