Más allá de la frontera de Budapest, hay un paisaje maravilloso, una naturaleza pacífica y, por último, pero no menos importante, un vino delicioso. Hungría en total tiene 22 zonas vinícolas diferentes en 6 grandes regiones vinícolas. En este tour visitamos la región vinícola de la Alta Hungría, más concretamente Eger, esta encantadora ciudad con una rica historia de la Edad Media y con los mejores vinos húngaros, incluido el mundialmente famoso Bull's Blood. El precio del tour NO incluye el almuerzo y la cata de vinos, estos gastos deben pagarse en el lugar, por lo que los viajeros no tienen que pagar una comisión adicional. El precio por persona durante el recorrido es de cca. 60€.

Itinerario
Al principio, paseamos por el centro de la ciudad. Visitamos el Castillo de Eger, donde podemos tener una experiencia de viaje en el tiempo a la Edad Media, durante la época de la ocupación otomana de Hungría. También visitamos un minarete y nos familiarizamos con la relación turco-húngara en general.
Después, vemos la Basílica de Eger, la tercera iglesia más grande de Hungría.
A mitad del programa, necesitamos llenarnos el estómago para prepararnos para la cata de vinos. Los dos pueden suceder al mismo tiempo; Nuestra primera parada es la bodega Bolyki, donde podemos probar la nueva superestrella de Eger (literalmente) el vino Eger Star con un buen almuerzo.
En la segunda parte, paseamos por Szépasszonyvölgy o Fair Lady Valley en inglés, donde podemos encontrar la mayoría de las bodegas de Eger una tras otra, y visitamos una bodega más para probar la famosa Sangre de Toro y más.

Our Guide Gary and Driver Andrew were simply the best. They took us to everything we wanted to see prior to wine tasting. This trip was not about how many wineries we could visit, but about going to the best winery and having a private lunch there and enjoying all of their great wines.

We had a fantastic day exploring Eger with Petra. The winery we visited was beautiful and Chubby gave a wonderful and fun tour. We enjoyed the lunch so much and we think those cheese balls for dessert have been our favorite on our whole trip. Of course we loved the wine! Petra was a great tour guide but moreover, she became like part of our group and it was fun to be with her.

What a fantastic day with Petra. She is an extremely knowledgeable and personable guide. From start to finish we felt like being accompanied by a friend rather than a guide. Our day started with a visit to Eger Castle then on to the church and main square. We were treated to a private wine tasting and lunch at Bolyki winery just outside Eger with instruction provided by the owner himself. This place was a real gem. We concluded with a visit to the Valley of the Beautiful Women. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a personal and unique experience.
