Hiroko was an amazing guide and nice person. She had many knowledge and answered all of our questions. She kindly showed us very beautiful places and always asked about our preferences to make our tour perfect. We had a very nice time with her! If we come back we would definitely repeat!

My husband rated Gie as the most effective of the female guides we had in Japan. He also thought this temple/shrine was the best we've seen. I thought the final resting place of the Shogun behind the temple was the essence of tranquility. The rope cable ride from one mountain to the next to visit the temple was also fun. We didn't get to see My. Fuji today, but it is notoriously shy, so that is no one's fault. Shimizu is kind of a humble port, so we felt our experience today made the most of this port visit.

This was our first excursion from RCCL Ovation of the Seas with Local Travel Partners - we used them again in May off of Celebrity Millennium. This was a wonderful excursion so much to see & do. Miyuki was our guide and Ted was our driver. From the ropeway to shrine to tea farm and beach - even though it was an off/on weather day, we totally enjoyed this trip. No sighting of Mt Fuji this day but they still made it fun. Such wonderful people made this experience so awesome. We highly recommend this company! Brenda & Steve

We had a wonderful tour with Hero. The sites we visited were well spaced and interesting. Hero was an excellent guide and patiently answered all our questions. Too bad Mt Fuji did not bless us with a view but the tour was still enjoyable.

Our guide was Motoko who I cannot say enough good things about! She was very inviting asking what we would like to see. She has been in the local area some time and was extremely thorough telling us about it. When we visited the National Treasure, for example, she took the time to point out and explain the history and meanings. She was so thoughtful to bring along home made goodies for us. Motoko was incredible! We saw a tea farm, went into an observation tower, and saw MtFuji from the beach. She was awesome every step of the way. We had a nice taxi van to ourselves with a great driver! This has been our best tour in Japan. Do not hesitate to book this if you want to learn about the local customs and culture. Also Motoko took photos of us which were promptly sent to us. Incredible!

We had the best shore excursion ever! It started with Hirokane meeting us on the dock, with his yellow jacket, just like he said. Our tour was scheduled for 9am, but, we got off the ship at 8:30. No problem, Hirokane introduced us to our guide Kyla and our driver Ted, and off we went. It was great to leave early, as we were ahead of the bus groups. Our guide Kyla was very knowledgeable, insightful, and, perhaps most important, she was fun. Our driver Ted was more like a co-guide. He knew the area well and its history. He was also a very nice man, the type of guy you want to hug. We had a full day trying to see Mt. Fuji.(to no avail). The day, however, was the best of our 3weeks in Japan. The beautiful Temple, the pines, and a stop to see how tea grows, etc.. Even between stops Kyla keep us going. She taught us several things and we learned how to count in Japanese. Perhaps the best of the day was when Kyla did a little comedy routine that she is working on, it was great(I'm laughing as I think about it). If you have the chance try Local Travel Partners, the really did a great job for us. Hirokane even met us when we returned to the ship just to make sure everything was ok.
Thank you very much for joining our tour and leaving us such a great review! It is our great pleasure to hear that you enjoyed the tour with Kyla and Ted and was your best during your 3 weeks. I shared your review with them. And they were very pleased to hear that. We look forward to welcoming you again in the future. Thank you very much! Hirokane
We had a great tour with Kiyo. Booking and pick-up at the port were well organized and the excursion destinations well chosen. The taxi was spacious, the driver was very nice and Kiyo took us on a great tour. In the end, it wasn't so bad that Mount Fuji had unfortunately not shown up. Kiyo's English was very easy to understand, she was super prepared, gave a lot of background information and was able to answer our numerous questions. During the trip she even read us a relevant Japanese legend. That was totally sweet. Even without Fuji, this tour was definitely worth it. Kiyo has made them very special. Thanks for that!
Daniela-san, I'm Kiyo, writing this message on behalf of Hirokane, my manager. Thank you very much for joining our tour. I appreciate your heartwarming review. It's wonderful compliment!! If you want to try to see Mt.Fuji with snow, I recomment to come to Shizuoka from November to April. (It's up to wether, though...) Once again, thank you very much, Daniela-san.
