Had a very interesting and informative tour with Anita. We covered a number of the key points of interest and learned a lot about the history of Hungary and Budapest in particular. Anita was very knowledgeable and a delight to visit with. Highly recommend.
I wholeheartedly recommend this activity to anyone! It’s a great introduction to Budapest. We had such a lovely tour with Anita. She was an excellent guide who shared stories and anecdotes from her own life that helped us to understand the culture. Great walk around town with great company!
Our tour was excellent! Anita was a lovely, friendly and very knowledgeable Guide who showed us all the key highlights and gave us a thorough account of the past, along with an insight into life in Budapest now. This was all topped off with a visit to The Strudel House where Anita ordered a selection of both savoury and sweet Strudel. This time out gave us the perfect opportunity for Anita to share restaurant recommendations and general ‘getting about’ tips. Thank you Anita for helping us to plan what turned out to be a super week in beautiful Budapest!
Fantastic tour. Anita is a gem and has a wealth of knowledge. I learned so much more than expected about Budapest and Hungary generally. Plus, the strudel was amazing.
Leontina, our very friendly and knowledgeable guide, accompanied us for 3.5 hours to present the city of Budapest (to be honest, only Pest), through some of its neighborhoods and iconic monuments. The walk took place on foot, fortunately with mild weather. In French (very well mastered), we were able to visit St. Stephen's Cathedral, see the exterior of the Parliament, and benefit from Leontina's insightful comments on the history of the city and its inhabitants. A tasting organized in a pastry shop in the Parliament district allowed us to taste local specialties and discover some aspects of the "Hungarian way of life." In short, an informative and pleasant afternoon. For the fifth star, it would be necessary to consider including a visit to the interior of the Parliament in the program.
Zsusanna Berta was a great tour guide and told us a lot. We also learned quite a bit about the current political situation.
We do lots of tours all over- public and private - and this was as good as it gets. We approach cities as though we may never get to visit them again, so we opted for a full day tour. We are also picky about how our time is spent so we customized the day right down to our lunch stop. We asked for a quick meal and Anita had the perfect place at the right time of the tour. We even added 2 people to our group a few days prior which was no problem. Anita was prompt, knowledgeable and friendly, engaging with each person in our group of six. A full day tour can be exhausting but Anita led us thru a combination of subway and bus segments to help us save energy for our night out later. She took pics of us, made suggestions for the rest of our time in Budapest, and even sent us some Hungarian recipes a few days after the tour. Her personal family stories of growing up & living in Budapest really added depth to the historical facts & figures she gave us. Sometimes I won’t bother to write reviews but I was happy to do this one- we feel like we have new friend in Budapest if we ever return!
This was a good introduction to Budapest. A great way to spend our first morning in Budapest. We saw a few of the must see sights and learned a little of the history.
It really facilitates to focus in individual areas of interest. Anita is very enthusiastic and goes various extra miles.
Anita did a wonderful job of showing us the city of Budapest. There is so much history to learn about along with all the beautiful monuments and churches. I would highly recommend this walking tour.
