We almost didn't book this because two days felt ambitious but honestly it was the best decision of the whole trip!! (and we were traveling for 2 weks) The beaches hit differently when you're actually standing there - our guide Nat had this way of telling the stories that made everything so vivid and personal, not like a history lesson at all. The American Cemetery we were simply not prepared for emotionally. And then Mont Saint-Michel appearing on the horizon out of nowhere... surreal. A piece of advice - before you go to Saint Malo watch All The Light We Cannot See on Netflix - it will fill you with this amazing story from the WW2! And take as many oysters as you can - eat eat eat. The car was super comfortable, everything ran on time, not once did we feel rushed. Two days felt like a week in the best possible way. Already planning what to book next with Tour Up ❤️
Don’t just imagine a perfect Normandy and Brittany trip, book it today with Tour Up in Europe. We had previously visited the D-Day sites on a river cruise in 2024, but we wanted to see more sites in the region the following year. Nataly was the loveliest and most knowledgeable guide to help us see Etretat, Honfleur, La Havre (great museum there!), Bayeaux, Mont Saint Michel and Cancale. Nataly was ready to enrich each stop with her knowledge and sparkling humor. She loves history as much as we do, so my wife and I were so grateful for Nataly’s expertise. Also, there is NOTHING BETTER than having a car waiting to whisk you effortlessly to your next destination (thanks to Ahmed, our driver). We are already shopping the Tour Up in Europe site for our next trip. You absolutely can book with confidence here. Thank you to EVERYONE at Tour Up in Europe for making our first trip with your firm a dream come true!
Our guide and driver, Emily and Robert, were excellent. Emily was super knowledgeable and provided wonderful insights throughout the trip. She is fluent in both English and Spanish, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Despite a busy schedule, everything went smoothly, and we saw a lot of new things. It was truly rewarding!
Nataly made the entire experience outstanding. The itinerary is as complete as time allows for a one-day tour. The historical detail presented by Nataly was respectful and wonderfully conveyed the significance of D-Day.
We had a great time visiting Rouen and Honfleur—the cathedrals were absolutely stunning. We did wish for more time at Omaha Beach, but the rest of the tour made up for it. The hotel we stayed in was decent. Mont Saint Michel was a sight to behold! Our tour guide, Nataly (?), was very knowledgeable and knew a lot of details about the places we visited, though sometimes it felt like she was talking to herself. All in all, my husband and I are glad we did this tour.
