Our guide Volvan is why I gave this a poor rating! He was on his phone constantly, walked us to Topaki palace gardens gave us a brief history and said to return on our own, had me “limp” to skip the line and get into the Blue mosque without waiting, took us to a ceramic place for a demo (and expected to buy) a water id 45 minutes, went to a local lunch which was fine but needed to pay for his AND he ate the chicken kabob I counted finish off my plate 😳 We saw all the sites but not impressed with this guide.
Very comprehensive and enjoyable. One of the best tours I’ve taken. If you have a short time in Turkey this is a great way to see the main sights in the old town, also good if you have a long stay!
I spent a full day exploring Istanbul with Volkan, and I cannot recommend him highly enough. From the moment we met, it was clear that he knew exactly how to make the most of a day in this incredible city. His planning was exceptional—he knew the best order to visit each site, how to avoid unnecessary waits, and how to navigate the crowds so that we spent our time experiencing Istanbul rather than standing in lines. Thanks to his expertise, we covered an incredible amount without ever feeling rushed. What impressed me most was his depth of knowledge. Every monument, mosque, palace, and street seemed to come alive through the stories he shared. He didn’t just point out historical facts; he explained how different empires, cultures, and traditions shaped the city over centuries, helping me understand why Istanbul is such a unique place in the world. By the end of the day, I felt like I had gained a genuine appreciation for the history, culture, and people of Türkiye. The Grand Bazaar could have been overwhelming on my own, but Volkan made it an enjoyable and fascinating experience. He helped me navigate the maze of shops, offered practical advice, and ensured I had a great experience while still feeling comfortable and confident. Beyond his knowledge, Volkan was simply wonderful company for the day—professional, friendly, engaging, and clearly passionate about what he does. He has a natural ability to tailor the experience to the person he is guiding, which made the entire day feel personal rather than scripted. I would recommend Volkan without hesitation to anyone visiting Istanbul. In fact, I would happily book another tour with him on a future visit because there is no doubt in my mind that there is still more to learn and discover with his guidance. Volkan, thank you for an unforgettable day. I left with a much deeper understanding of Istanbul, its remarkable history, and its culture. I saw more than I ever expected to see, learned more than I expected to learn, and enjoyed every minute of it. I genuinely could not have spent the day with a better guide.

Volcan was an awesome tour guide. We loved his enthusiasm and pride that he showed for his country. He was very knowledgeable about everything we visited today. He even gave us some great recommendations for dinner that were exceptional! Thank you for the experience that you gave us to learn about your country. We loved Istanbul, and Volcan! 5 stars plus!
Thank you for your feedback and thank you for choosing us .
Volkan our guide was very cultured, knowledgeable funny and flexible. Except for the historic sites we requested to get the authentic local color in food and hidden gems and got full satisfaction.
Thank you for your feedback and thank you for choosing us . Hope to see you again for another tour
Kayraman did a great job with his knowledge and insights into Istanbul. A quick way to see some of the highlights in the old city. Hagia Sofia is undergoing renovatios so we did not even try to see it.
Thank you for your review. We are so glad to hear that you had a nice experience

Thank you for leaving your review about your experience . Hope to see you again
We had an excellent private tour of Istanbul and would highly recommend it. Our guide was knowledgeable, patient, and incredibly efficient. We visited the Blue Mosque, Grand Bazaar, Basilica Cistern, and Topkapi Palace, and he helped us bypass numerous lines, allowing us to maximize our time at each site. One thing we particularly appreciated was that he made the experience feel authentic rather than commercial. He accompanied us to a traditional rug workshop where we learned about the art and history of Turkish rug making. There was absolutely no pressure to purchase anything—just a fascinating educational experience. The same was true when he took us to a clay-making demonstration; it was interesting and informative, with no sales pressure whatsoever. Throughout the day, he also helped shield us from the constant sales pitches that can sometimes be overwhelming in tourist areas. Beyond the tour itself, he provided an extensive list of local restaurants, cafés, and shopping recommendations that were off the typical tourist path, which greatly enhanced the rest of our stay in Istanbul. If you're looking for a guide who is professional, knowledgeable, well-connected, and genuinely focused on creating a great experience rather than selling products, this tour is an excellent choice.

Thank you for your feedback and for choosing us
Everything that we wanted to see was within easy walking distance of each other. Our guide was on time and very knowledgeable about all the places we visited and other things along the way. Sila our guide contacted us in advance with regard to appropriate clothing for the mosques which was really helpful. Sila also went at our pace and built in time for stops and refreshments. After a short while Sila was more than a tour guide but became a friend. A lovely person with a great sense of humour.
Thank you for your feedback and joining the tour with us
