Davy gave a personable, insightful, and informative tour. While the group was large it never felt uncomfortable. He spoke so everyone could hear and follow always keeping the group together. He was conscientious and gifted.
Had a great time on the Montmartre tour with Walkative on May 12th! Ruben was a fantastic guide—super engaging and full of fun facts. Be ready for a bit of uphill walking, so wear comfy shoes. Definitely recommend if you want a quick intro to old Paris—and especially if you get Ruben!
Tom was our guide - he was very knowledgeable and really good fun. It was a lovely way to feel a connection with the charming area of Montmartre, and we learned so much about the history of the place. Thoroughly recommend.
Great tour. Raj was soooo knowledgeable and a great storyteller. Best to do if you already know a bit about classic artists.
My daughter and I took the Artistic tour of Montmarte and it was great. Our guide, Charlie, was informative and engaging. There were about 15 in our group and he kept us all together....while helping us understand the beautiful neighborhoods were were walking through. It was definitely one of the highlights of our vacation.
Toto (the French Thomas) was an excellent tour guide! His passion for art, history, and the Montmartre area really showed. He was informational yet entertaining, and very engaging. After the tour, he stayed to answer many people’s questions about directions to the nearest metro stop, Place de la Tertre, and food recommendations. The tour ended in a beautiful park behind the Sacre coeur, which I think is more scenic than the front of the basilica. This is a tip based tour so make sure to bring either cash or credit card to pay at the end. The meeting point was also very easy to find, as was the bright yellow umbrella. I do recommend planning to be there at least 15 minutes early as the metro can be unpredictable and have delays. Do keep an eye out for pickpockets in the Montmartre area as we did spot a few. Overall, it was a really fun day in the area. Thank you Toto (Thomas), for an incredible tour of Montmartre!
On February 14th, my family and I had the opportunity to join the Montmartre tour organised by Walkative and led by Ruben. We highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a great introduction to the wonderful neighbourhood of Montmartre. Over the course of nearly three hours, our guide shared insightful facts and engaging information, bringing the area to life with stories and fascinating details about Paris and Montmartre. Ruben also took us to places we would never have discovered on our own, which made the experience even more special and authentic. Without a doubt, we recommend Ruben as a guide. When we return to Paris, we will definitely join another tour with him if we can. As constructive feedback, I would suggest sending a list of recommended cafés, restaurants, and bistros via WhatsApp or email before the final stop. It would also be fantastic to complement the stories at each stop with visual materials, such as images of paintings by the famous painters who lived in the neighbourhood and historical photographs showing what Montmartre looked like in the past.
This was a terrific tour. Our guide was amazing. Ruben was really informative and very very funny. Paced the walk out into several small pauses while he explained something then into more active stretches. He gave us a very good feel for Montmartre, its history, and residents. Good suggestions for restaurants etc. We did a few paid tours in Paris that were very expensive but this one was by far, the best. Highly recommend.
Davie was a fantastic tour guide. He was funny, knowledgeable and engaging. His tour was full of anecdotes and stories and he was able to answer extra questions about restaurants and activities to do after the tour.
We roamed through the streets of Montemarte and ventured away from the typical sites… discovering some unexpected treasures. Our guide Rueben Sebastian was warm, welcoming and witty! He was also incredibly knowledgable about the region.
