Es la plaza más importante, en el corazón del Sasso Caveoso, situada en el precipicio del cañón de Gravina y que ofrece un hermoso panorama. Breve parada para visitar la Iglesia de San Pietro Caveoso con su famoso tejado de cerchas y sus maravillosas pinturas.
Es una antigua casa campesina que cuenta y muestra la realidad de los sassi hasta los años sesenta. En el interior, un emocionante vídeo le ayudará a comprender el valor de esta ciudad
Desde el Belvedere di Sant'Agostino admiramos el Sasso Barisano, la parte nueva de los Sassi, renovada cuando Matera se convirtió en sitio de la UNESCO en 1993.
Viaje al famoso Belvedere Murgia Timone, cuyo origen se remonta al Neolítico Inferior (VI milenio a.C.).C.) es el punto más alto y su panorama te deja literalmente sin aliento.
Es uno de los santuarios más famosos y bellos de la ciudad. Siempre destino de peregrinación, el Santuario está en parte excavado y en parte construido. Además del fresco bizantino de la Madonna Odigidria, en su interior hay una serie de frescos renacentistas

A beautiful experience I really liked the panoramic view of the Murgia
Bruenella and her husband were very courteous, prompt and knowledgeable. Made us feel like family. Very enthusiastic , made our tour more than enjoyable it was fantastic , she found my family history and presented it to me . Was so enlightening .. great job. Will refer her to anyone headed to Mantera.she knew a lot about the history of mantra , great guide.
Tour at 5.30 pm due to the Giro < 24 years the morning tour was cancelled. Received a nice message from the organization whether 5:30 pm was an option. Driven with driver/guide Carlo in a luxury Mercedes bus through the Stassi with enough stops. Then to the other side of the city and visited cave houses that have been inhabited in the past. Then to a small church at the foot of the Stassi. Both parts can only be done by car. Not with a tuk tuk or walking tour. Was a nice tour of over 1.5 hours.
A great way to see the hidden parts of the beautiful Matera! The vehicle was immaculate, audio narration very clear and interesting, and the visit to the cave house was authentic and emotive - highly recommend.
We booked the tour very last minute for the same day; everything was top-notch organized, comfortable in the spacious van, engaging with interesting information at the 5 stops, absolutely stress-free with a nice guide, thank you!

Had a great time! Carlo made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. Transfer was perfect and we really enjoyed the van tour. After a full day of walking the day before, the van was exactly what we needed to still see and enjoy Matera. Definitely recommended!
