Situado en las montañas de Aladağ, a solo 5 millas de Efeso, la Casa de la Virgen María es un lugar de peregrinación significativo. Según la tradición, María llegó a Éfeso con San Juan en el año 37 d.C. y vivió allí hasta su muerte en el año 48 d.C. El sitio fue reconocido como lugar de peregrinación por el arzobispo de Kusadasi en 1892, tras el descubrimiento de la casa. El 26 de julio de 1967, el Papa Pablo VI visitó y oró en este lugar sagrado, consolidando su importancia para los visitantes de todo el mundo.
Ubicada en la colina Ayasuluk en Selçuk, la Basílica de San Juan fue construida en el siglo VI por el emperador Justiniano sobre el lugar de enterramiento de San Juan el Apóstol. Una vez que una gran estructura abovedada rivalizó con Santa Sofía, la basílica fue un importante destino de peregrinación en la era bizantina. this was an amazing experience Rengin was great and very informative. She kept in tune with how sites were with lines etc and modified course a bit so we essentially avoided crowds and had plenty time. Lunch was amazing with so much good food. The stop at carpet factory was very informative but they were very high pressure to try and make a sale. over all great tour through a great company. we would use them again to take tour.

Our Tour of the Mother House of Mary and St. John's Basilica with SeaDrop Travel was amazing. It was worth seeing two major religious and historical sites together.
