Pruebe Gianduiotto, la leyenda dice que el gianduiotto nació como resultado del bloqueo continental de 1806 impuesto por Napoleón, muchos chocolateros comenzaron a producir chocolate reemplazando parte de la masa con avellanas. Bicerin, que en Piamonte significa "vaso", es el nombre de una bebida típica sin alcohol de Turín, que se origina en otra bebida del siglo XVIII llamada "bavareisa". Vitel tonnè con una copa de vino, contrario a lo que uno podría pensar, no es originario de Francia pero es muy italiano: el término vitel tonnè proviene del dialecto piamontés. Los quesos ocupan una parte muy importante del patrimonio enogastronómico piamontés porque hay más de cientos y muchos de ellos han adquirido a lo largo de los años la designación DOP y DOC.

Guide was very knowledgeable of history in turin. BUT we booked a food tour to taste the foods in turin and little food and beverages offerred. Was a waste of money as far as a food tour goes

Our guide was very good at making us passionate about Piedmontese culinary tradition, and also explaining the history of the dishes we tasted. A great tour to discover places we would never have found on our own. Highly recommended.
