It was a very long day. We enjoyed the time that we spent but due to the multiple stops, it detracted from the tour itself. It seemed a bit disorginized at times. To me a VIP tour is a small group 8 to 10 people. We were 20 or 22. Manuel was excellent at giving information. Charley was very nice but doesn’t remember to give you your change. Due to time constraints, we had to rush thru the last leg of the tour. All and all, it is worth it to see these magnificent structures but it is a cash grab from the conservation tax, to your arrival for the lunch to having to rent a life jacket at the Cenote if you want to jump in. It detracts from enjoying the experience.
For our first time in Cancun, this tour was great! Carlos our tour guide was knowledgeable of every place we went to and we could tell he is passionate about his job. Alfredo was patient and hospitable. And the driver Manuel was amazing! All that driving he did, wow, bravo!! We will definitely do this again. Thank you!
This tour is Spanish speaking tour and if we got put in with this group even we booked under English speaker tour which we felt lost of what was happening with this tour,
the tour its biligual its explain in english then in spanish the same information.
Overall ok. Very pleasant and polite. At Chichen-Itza the NEW guide said to go through the line and meet him the other side but we could not find him(suggestions-guide should have a Number sign or an umbrella or some sign for group to know their guide). Per online itinerary Cenote was to be 2 hours but we were given 1 hour. Valladolid was to be 45 minutes per online itinerary, we were given 14 minutes and that included a restroom stop. But we had to wait inside the vehicle for 30 mins so this was very disappointing. Valladolid had so restaurants and was vibrant so we should have been there atleast 45 minutes to explore (preferably 2 hrs). We asked our guide why the delay but were not provided any reason.
Juan was funny and a great source of historical info! Bring a towel, change of clothes, hand wipes, tennis shoes, some types of carrying bag and cash (for souvenirs.) The Cenote has lockers, dressing rooms, restrooms and an outdoor shower. The first stop was the Mayan Resort I believe. They have souvenirs there. However, they also have souvenirs at Chichen Itza. And there, they are crazy affordable! Mask up at all times except when eating.
