No es la más antigua, ni la más grande, sino la más visitada mezquita de Estambul del siglo XVII, que recibió su apodo (Mezquita Azul) por los azulejos de cerámica que decoran las paredes interiores. Visitaremos el interior para ver la belleza de los azulejos y las vidrieras que crean una atmósfera pacífica en el interior.
Sin duda el monumento histórico más importante de Turquía. Fue construida como catedral cristiana por el imperio bizantino entre 532 y 537 pero en 1453, tras la conquista de Estambul, se convirtió en mezquita y en 1935 abrió como museo. Pero desde 2020 ha vuelto a ser una mezquita activa. Es un templo más antiguo que un religioso, es un templo que sirve para dos religiones y es un templo donde todavía se puede ver la combinación de dos religiones (Islam y Cristianismo).
El primer palacio residencial y administración de los sultanes otomanos en Constantinopla o Estambul. Fue construido después de la conquista de la ciudad y hoy es un museo con muchas salas de exhibición llenas de valiosas colecciones y reliquias sagradas de cristianos, judíos y musulmanes.
Depósito de agua romano de Constantinopla de 1500 años. Es como un tesoro escondido debajo de la ciudad con 336 columnas y una atmósfera alucinante.
Uno de los bazares cubiertos más grandes y antiguos de Estambul con más de 3000 tiendas, más de 100 calles. Un lugar fácil de perderse.
Era el centro social de la ciudad y aquí se celebraban carreras de carros tirados por caballos. En Roma, los romanos tenían un coliseo para las guerras de gladiadores y en Constantinopla, los romanos tenían un hipódromo para sangrientas carreras de carros tirados por caballos.

We did a tour with Oscar that was spectacular! He was timely, picked us up right at our hotel, helped us learn to navigate the public transportation system, and had great knowledge of the sites. He allowed us to customize our tour on the go (lunch stop, spice bazaar, etc) and was overall an excellent guide! He was also very helpful and accommodating when our flight was delayed and we had to make last minute changes.

By every measure our introduction to Istanbul with Serkan Elbasan exceeded our expectations. At every venue we were able to ‘skip the line’ with the tix he secured in advance. He adjusted the itinerary in accordance with our requests. He suggested an outstanding outdoor cafe with authentic Turkish food near the end of our experience. At all sites Serkan went into depth about history and cultural significance - indeed, the elapsed time went beyond the 7 hours promised (a good thing!). The next time we are in Istanbul, we will schedule a private tour with Serkan!

Ozgur’s Istanbul Old City tour was outstanding. His knowledge of Istanbul’s history was genuinely impressive—he didn’t just point things out, he explained the stories, context, and significance behind each site in a way that made everything come alive. Visiting the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia with him was especially memorable because he helped us understand what we were seeing beyond the surface. We also explored the Spice Bazaar and the Grand Bazaar, and his guidance made the experience so much easier (and more interesting) than trying to navigate on our own. The tour covered a great mix of iconic landmarks and city highlights, including Taksim Square and the Galata Tower. I have booked a 3 hours private guided tour and Özgür was my guide. It was a tour of the most significant seeings in the city, the Hagia Sofia, Basilica Cisterns, Blue Mosque and the gardens of Topkapi Palace. From the beginning to the end it was a perfectly guided tour, I could immediately recognize that Özgür was studying history and he is very professional at his job. His language is very elegant and elevated, he knows a lot to tell about this stunning seeings, a lot of hidden details and it makes me very excited. With him we didn’t need to queuing, as he has straight access, which safes a lot of time. In fact, he just jumped to help another city tour company, who failed to provide me a guide. So he was so flexible to help me with this tour! On top of that, because of the inconvenience he offered me for free to join an amazing Sunset Bosphorus tour on the big Yacht, I appreciated this a lot!
