El recorrido es completamente PRIVADO. Esquipulas es un pequeño pueblo rural ubicado en las estribaciones de San Marcos de Tarrazú (una de las montañas más altas de Costa Rica). Esquipulas es considerado el mejor lugar para la observación de aves en el área de Manuel Antonio y Quepos. A unos 20 minutos en coche aproximadamente de la mayoría de los hoteles en Manuel Antonio. Estarás a 400 metros sobre el nivel del mar (gran altitud para una mañana de observación de aves). Esquipulas presenta una mezcla de bosques primarios y secundarios, huertos familiares y pastizales para ganado, lo que lo convierte en el hogar de una amplia variedad de aves, incluidas tangaras, trogones, colibríes, cazadores de moscas, manakins y tucanes, entre muchos otros. Se han reportado aproximadamente 304 especies de aves en Esquipulas.

Unbelievable experience! Saw so many bucket list birds. Provided all the equipment, coffee/bakery treats, breakfast… saw every bird I wanted to and more. Fiery billed aracari, blue dacnis, scarlet macaw, manakins, trogons…. What a day! Thank you Edgar!
Edgar was an incredibly knowledgeable and enthusiastic bird guide. We saw many, many birds, several quite rare. We never imagined how much fun we would have! Also, he is queer-friendly ⭐️.

It was an excellent tour. Elias is a good tour guide. Picked us up on time, we saw many creatures in the night at the Damas island mangroves and the river nearby. We were able to see Sloth, owl, Kingfisher, crocodile, bats and snakes. Tour was about 90 mins, followed by fantastic dinner, Casado. Recommend this tour.
The tour was awesome. The guide was great. I booked thru a company called Ecco tours, but then Jade tours kept texting me and I thought it was spam. Also a little deceptive cuz the $95 PP rate sounded like it was all inclusive but we had to pay extra for park passes. I think they were $30 PP. And the cost of transportation. a($285 for 6 of us from Los Suentos) But a great tour. Edgar was great! There is no way to enjoy this park without a guide!!
Our guide Edgar and our driver Rodrigo were terrific. Edgar is a great birder who knew where to find birds and how to identify them. It was a pleasure to spend the day with them. We drove to many different habitats and found a diversity of species. In just a few hours we found more than 55 species, the highlights of which included Baird's Trogan, Pygmy Owl, King Vulture, a Barn Owl with her chick, and a Red-Capped Manakin. Edgar took photos and videos with our phone through his scope, leaving us with some treasured reminders of our trip. The tour was memorable. We highly recommend Edgar, Rodrigo, and Jade Tours.
