We had an excellent morning bird watching with Roy in Curi Cancha. He was brilliant at spotting the birds, knowing where to look and even finding better angles to view them from. I was very optimistic in hoping that we might see a Keel-billed Toucan, three wattle bellbird and a Quetzal. I didn't really think it was possible but Roy made it happen! We were so thrilled to see all three along with many other birds too. I would definitely recommend this tour and we thoroughly enjoyed it.
We saw magnificent toucans, bellbirds, owls, snakes, and hummingbirds. However, we ended up in a group with the guide rather than alone (but we were refunded the difference). Negative point: the guide talked a lot with the other guides and sometimes wasted time when we wanted to continue the tour.
Muchas gracias. Bendiciones
Curi Cancha is a beautiful park to walk with many different trails to explore. Our guide Roy was a pleasure to interact with as he was personable, friendly, and knowledgeable. We saw seven different species of hummingbirds, white faced monkeys, and a variety of butterflies. For whatever reason, we saw only a handful of other birds. Just a slow day, which happens sometimes. Overall a wonderful park and we hope to someday get to visit again. Highly recommended!
Roy is really good guide, Amazing tour with him
Gorgeous forest. Beautiful birds. Good story. Friendly and helpful guide.
Thank you so much. Bless
We had an amazing time! Saw so many birds, their nests, learned a lot about their behavior and about the ecosystem. Roi is very knowledgeable but also very positive and kind. It was a pleasure to spend time with him
Thank you so much.
We used Roy Hernandez as our guide and couldn't be more thrilled with our experience. We enjoyed this way more than the Cloud Forest. However if you want the quetzal you will need to go.
What an excellent tour! Roy was fantastic. Wonderful with people and wonderful with spotting and explaining the birds to the group. Highly recommended!
Beautiful national park. We felt our guide needed more experience with bird identifying and watching. We still had a great time.
We took the bird watching tour with Roy at Curi Cancha. The minute we parked our car there was great bird watching right from the parking lot. We spotted woodpeckers, toucans, a cuckoo and spider monkeys without even going into the reserve. We just were able to spot such a big variety of birds without his help. He also took the time to take pictures for us with our cell phones using his scope and to tell us what bird we were seeing and describing it and its habits. Just a great bird watching morning with Roy
