Sigue los pasos de Dick Winters y su banda de hermanos durante la operación Market-Garden y en la isla. Visitarás todos los lugares relacionados con la saga Band of Brothers en Holanda. Es una gira ocupada, así que "Hang Tough". Y tenemos un descanso para almorzar en un interesante museo. La duración del recorrido de 10 a 11 horas incluye el tiempo de viaje. El carácter de recorrido por el campo de batalla de este viaje significa muchos viajes más cortos y más largos hacia y entre ubicaciones.

Itinerario
Después de un viaje de 1,5 horas desde Ámsterdam, llegamos a Dropzone C. Esta fue la zona de aterrizaje de Easy Company. Les gustó el aterrizaje suave en los campos y podemos ver por qué. La granja Paulushoef se utilizó como punto de reunión y la población local estaba ocupada ayudando a los heridos y sedientos en el aire. La finca no está abierta para los visitantes.
Desde el dropzone seguimos el avance de la empresa Easy hasta el puente de Son. Fue volado por los alemanes. Se improvisó una pasarela y prosiguió el avance hacia Eindhoven. Posteriormente los alemanes intentaron recuperar el puente con un ataque Panzer que fue derrotado tras una dura lucha.
En Eindhoven vemos la calle en la que la gente estaba celebrando mientras la compañía Easy avanzaba para tomar el puente Dommel y esperaban los tanques de la División Blindada de la Guardia. Más tarde la ciudad fue bombardeada por los alemanes.
Nos dirigimos a Nuenen. Aquí Easy Company tuvo una dura pelea con la 107 Brigada Panzer atacando desde el Este. Nuenen también es famoso como Vincent Van Gogh Village.
Paramos para almorzar y visitar el museo Wings of Liberation. El museo está dedicado a la operación Market-Garden. Podrás ver mapas explicativos y uniformes, equipos y vehículos utilizados en visualizaciones atmosféricas. Está ubicado en un área boscosa en un sitio de almacenamiento de la Guerra Fría. El museo está cerrado los lunes.
Los alemanes hicieron intentos desesperados de cortar la "Autopista del Infierno", la ruta de avance y suministro del XXX-cuerpo. El molino de Eerde y la carretera de Koevering eran lugares muy disputados.
En esta granja en The Island se hizo la famosa foto de Dick Winters en la puerta principal. Hacemos una parada aquí para que tú puedas hacer lo mismo. En la carretera hay un monumento a Easy Company que cubre el despliegue de la isla. La finca no está abierta para los visitantes.
Nuestra última parada es en Crossroads, donde un destacamento de Easy Company se topó con 2 compañías alemanas de las SS y las derrotó. Verás lo abierto que es el terreno con la única cobertura procedente de diques y zanjas de drenaje. Un pequeño monumento conmemora la acción. Desde aquí es aproximadamente 1,5 horas de regreso a Ámsterdam.

This experience meant far more to us than we expected. Standing in the very places where the soldiers of Operation Market Garden fought and fell gave us a sense of connection that was deeply personal for my family of 4. This experience wasn’t just about learning history—it was experiencing the places of history that books and movies cannot express. Hearing the stories while walking the same ground made the war feel closer, more human, and profoundly real. We found ourselves imagining their decisions, their sacrifices, and the impossible moments they faced. It gave us a new level of respect for the men who fought though out the Netherlands and left a lasting impression that we will take with us for the rest of our lives. Jip did an outstanding job of bringing all of these stories to life. He presented pictures, accounts, and his own unique blend of experience that accentuated this trip. This is by far one of the best experiences myself and my family have had in our travels, and we are greatly appreciative of Jip for helping us create family memories that will last a lifetime. We all 50, 40ish, 20 and 12 year olds, recommend this adventure. (5 stars is not enough)

Jip was outstanding in his knowledge of Easy Co 506th, Band of Brothers and Operation Market Garden. He took us to all the key sites, from the Easy Co. drop zone through The Crossroads, which included a visit to a very cool museum. Was a bucket list tour for me and it exceeded my expectations! Had a running conversation with Jip all day about Easy Co and Operation Market Garden, regarding tactics, personnel, and US Army/British Senior Leaders. Would highly recommend this tour if you are a Band of Brothers or Operation Market Garden Fan!

Jip took us on an incredible day trip from Amsterdam to Bastogne and Foy! My husband is a passionate about World War II, particularly the journey Easy Company had through Europe. When he saw that we could do this tour, it was a must! Jip was incredibly knowledgeable, helping me learn along the way as I’m not as well-versed in WWII tanks and weapons as my husband. 😉 We both appreciated the depth of Jip’s knowledge, his thoroughly planned itinerary, and his generosity with his time. We were able to visit the Bastogne War Museum, several monuments around Bastogne, the Bois Jacques to see the foxholes and memorial, Foy, and more! It was so powerful to visit these places knowing (and learning more!) about what Easy Company faced right there.
